I ordered Beethoven from the Lithuania site sil Tuesday night and there already in the us and on scheldule for delivery tomorrow, crazy fast shipping! Im a believer lol

I have seen very few people pull them off casually and the people who were able to had very long legs, imo! Maybe you can pull it off but that doesn't make you the majority. You can wear the lows with anything basketball gear, khaki shorts and pollo, jeans and tee, joggers, hell pretty much anything. I didn't say the MP's were not functional, I just said the lows were more functional, IMO! But you are probably right, sense of style is probably lacking a little, I can admit that!
i agreed you need the right build to rock the highs. I am 6'3 185 and the highs look great on me. I wear levis 514s or 569s and even cargo shorts and the look works fine. Lows to me have always been more of a summer/spring shoe to be worn with shorts. highs look fine with shorts but i already feel like the dudes in NY who rock timberlands in the summer time with shorts.

wish i could see the white htm in person

I like the look, too, but flyknit is supposed to be lightweight and pliable. None of the FK Elites are either of those things.

Nike didn't put flyknit on the highs and lows for functionality, they did it for aesthetic purposes to generate interest (hype...). Most of these flyknit Kobes aren't even utilizing the weaves to their potential, so IMO they're really failing at almost every point with these shoes. The EMs function better on court and the majority of the FKs are very plain.

I understand I'm probably alone in this line of thought, but that's fine. The FK Elites have just been incredibly underwhelming from what I thought they could/would be.

I completely agree with you on the notion that the flyknit on the Kobes aren't utilized as they should be and more of a look, but that doesn't mean it has to be "hype". I think Nike walked a fine line with these shoes on adding the flyknit look but still keeping it true to a basketball shoe.

I don't think "real" flyknits would hold up well, perfomance wise, on the courts.
the only real functional benefit of flyknit on a basketball shoe is breathability and durability. aesthetically you can do way more than EM which is why so many people are annoyed that some of the color ways of other flyknit shoes didn't make it to the kobes. Yes. real flyknit without any reinforcement is going to fit like the jordan futures or the flyknit chukkas or even the rosheruns.

Homie.. If you ask any mature women her thoughts on the high top Kobes.. She'd look at you funny. If you are talking about fashion sense, the high tops don't work with anything but shorts. If you actually keep up with the fashion world, a well dressed person is usually wearing some well fitted pants with low tops, probably not even sneakers.

Depends on what your definition of mature is. I'm 30, no kids, home owner, nice cars and make enough to go and do as I please. If a woman has a issue with the hight of my Kobe's despite all that she's not very mature IMO. Shoes shouldn't even be a factor when maturity is concerned.

Finally got the new white Kobe box lol. All the IXs I have are in the black iD boxes. I know which is the Beethoven without looking at the box label. I think it is time to try out that Neverwet product lol.

I kick myself in the *** for not picking up the Details. Those kicks are [emoji]128293[/emoji][emoji]128293[/emoji][emoji]128293[/emoji].

I'm anxious to see what the red flyknit and yellow flyknit samples from Nike ID look like in person on finished products, not these lame photoshop jobs they do on the site. If the solid flyknit looks better in reality I may be IDing some new pairs.

People keep talking about how the lows are more functional. If you can't pull off the 9 high you just don't have any fashion sense. It's not hard at all. If you weigh 500 pounds I get it but if your a regular build and can't figure it out you just can't dress. If someone thinks the highs are ugly I respect that but not being able to pull them off casually says a lot about your lack of style. IMO
