need to start talking about fantasy football. i have been working on my draft strategy now for a couple months. here is a topic to start this off :

TOM BRADY.  you can go both ways on this and either way can be right. my view is brady makes guys much better than they really are. in a 12 or 14 team league ( which is all i play) he is dropping to the 5th or 6th round. i feel this is a bargin. on a bad year he will be good for 4500yds and 30td's.  what do you think ?

brady will be productive. i don't see him dropping THAT far. as soon as rodgers and brees go, the run on QBs will start. i wouldn't hope for him to fall that far. but definitely not in the first two rounds.

unless you're me...i'd take him first round without thinking twice :pimp:

I was wondering when a FFB thread would be made  lot of depth at WR this season

im from boston..brady isnt making to the second round out here...hes a pretty safe productive pick, regardless who he has to throw the ball too...

and i cant stand the pats.

qb's run deep this year. stafford can be had in the 6th round along with romo.  i just cant see taking a qb in first round. and this is coming from a long time nffc guy which gets you 6pts a td.  just to many productive qb's out there.

if y'all are doing 6 points for each passing TD...the first round should be AD, foster, and all QBs

no. not really.  the gap is closing with your top qb's whereas rb's and rb's and rb's are your top adp players. of course your rodgers , brees , peyton's are going late 1st or early to mid second but you need to get your rb's on your team.

i see your point, but i think at 6 points a passing TD, it's safer to pick a QB that'll finish around 30 TDs, 4000 yards rather than a RB (outside of the top 3-4 backs). RBs go down and miss games so often now. it's a much safer bet with a stat monster QB imo.

If Brady is falling to the 5th and 6th round in a 6pt per td league then every person in your league is an idiot. You're right that you can get a good QB in deeper rounds as a steal. But Brady on name alone is getting picked 1st/2nd round, 3rd the latest. Ive never seen him picked after the 2nd round in 12 team leagues, ever. No AH/Welker isnt going to change that.

And I condone RB/RB/WR as my first 3 picks normally. But if I have a late 2nd round pick and Brady was still on the board I would pick him there or risk leaving him on the board for the early 3rd round pick. Not a chance im trying to see if hes still around in the 5th round.

i kinda refrain from calling people idiots especially in the leagues i play in ( nffc ) which is the top high stakes players in the country.  maybe you should get in the action. lol. rodgers , bress , peyton , ryan and cam are going b4 brady.  there are certainly different ways to win a league but in my view there are many qb's b4 brady that i would take.

For those who have done Drafts/mock drafts Where has Hakeem Nicks gone? I'm very interested in him this year.

thought you might enjoy a copy of a mock draft of yesterday. this draft is a 3rr ( 3erd round reversal )it's early still and this is not the bible.

This is confirming my stance ofd keeping Julio jones, and Marshawn lynch over tom brady and jimmy graham.

my opinion is 8 team leagues are a joke. even 10 team leagues are not my thing although where i do my fantasy play , they have this cutline league that only costs 150 and grand prize is 50k and they are 10 team leagues. might  do 3 of them. otherwise 12 or 14 team leagues are my thing.

Finally found this thread  Ahhh another year of good ole fantasy football. Right now playing in year 4 of my co-workers league. This year is the second time that its been a 14-team league. Drafting at the #9 spot. Did over 50 mocks (yea i got too much time on my hands ) and I kinda like the teams that i came up with at that spot. Since its a 14 team league, my strategy is to get a top RB in the first round, then get a top WR in the 2nd round and grab a QB in round 4 or 5.

I'm hoping to get a Stafford + Calvin + Reggie trio this year. We're about 2 weeks away from the first preseason game (Hall of Fame game). FOOTBALL IS BACK YALL!!!
