So I got Luck starting over Cam on the 1st week. came up with that since Luck is playing against Oak and Cam will be playing Seattle that week, Cam is projected more points though so idk who to start even though I think my reasoning is sound.

My starting RBs are Lacy and David Wilson, not sure about Lacy since he's playing against 49ers D, my bench is Ingram and DeAngelo Williams. also Redman is still a FA so I might pick him up in place of Ingram.

Those are the right calls IMO. You couldnt go wrong with either QB. I would ride with the RBs you have, even though Lacy is going up against the 9ers, he'll give you more than those guys will.

I would go luck for sure. hawks are a nasty def. drop redman fast and get bell. 
 
Bell said he could be back by week 2. Grab him if he's availiable in any of your leagues.
 
Bell is gone in the league i just posted. I took Redman because i assumed he was a starter.

I read that Felix Jones was going to be the starter week 1 :rolleyes well hopefully Bell stays healthy, managed to scoop him up in the 10th round of my league draft :lol:

I got offered Cam Newton + Mike Williams for V-Jax + Jordan Cameron.  12 team 1PPR.

My QBs are Big Ben and Cutler.  Other WRs are B Marsh, Nicks, Shorts, Wright, Sanu.

I feel like this would leave me with a bunch of WR3s and no true WR2.

I feel like my squad is decent. It's a PPR league. Kinda lacking depth at the RB position though so I have a bench spot open. Thinking about snatching Redman for the time being. Gonna drop one of my TEs too but kinda hesitant cause the Browns offensive is predicted to be pretty good...

How many teams, your WR position is weak.
 
Aside from CJ81, his WR are beyond horrible :lol: none of those guy should be anywhere near starting material
 
12 team league. I actually love my WR picks. Rolled the dice this year a bit with them but my gut tells me it's the right move. I love dudes who draft by name alone...lol Even got the highest projection already without them even adding points for Thompkins. Guess we'll just have to see though. I'm not a 3 time league champion for nothing :smokin
 
im in a 12 team ppr league. i had 2nd pick in my draft last week, probably the worst pick to have.

we're using yahoo and its pretty cool how they have draft grades for each team.

 i like thompkins as a wr3 or a flex at times but in a league that you only start 2 wr's it's a little weak. jeffrey would be a nice bye week guy and patterson i have no use for.  it's not strickly lack of talent on patterson but he is for sure on a run 1st team and the qb situation is not to good. i think a guy like quinton patton has got much more upside than patterson and then grab stepfan taylor with your open spot and work it from there.  good luck in your league. hope you make it 4 in a row.

The only legit WR you have is Calvin. Thompkins I have as a sleeper, but slotting him as a WR2 is not smart. People are reaching on him, I would even struggle taking him as a WR3. As Blackhand said, Patterson isn't a great pick. Ponder is horrible and so far he hasn't done anything in preseason. He even went undrafted in the NFC North Trashtalk league if that tells you anything.

Plus I have no idea why you have 3 TE's on your team but only 2 RB's. That makes even less sense than having Thompkins as your WR2. Overall you can't rely on the projections, if you go by that you fail. Your team is seriously lacking man, good luck.

i dont think you did that bad at all. only thing i dont understand is why people take two def.  you can switch out evey week if need be. i would rather take an upside guy ... wheaton , marlon brown , marlon moore , stepfan taylor , patton , guys that might blow up and give your team a boost. a guy i drafted with this week in the high stakes leagues drafted tampa eveywhere cause they play the jets the first week and will keep switching depending on matchups. two def are a waste of roster space.

Lol nah I didn't win 3 in a row. This is our 6th year playing and I won 3 out of the 6. Was two in a row until last year.

Anyways, I snatched Patterson just in case he did start to become heavily involved in the Vikes offense. Trust me, he'll get dropped with the quickness if nothing happens by week 3 or so. Alshon looks like he's gonna be targeted a lot and is said to be a favorite of Cutler. Like Patterson though, he will be dropped if nothing develops...lol

My biggest questions right now are whether to drop Jordan Cameron or not and who to start week one out of Kaep and Dalton. Btw, I did take your advice and snatched up Patton just now though.

Another thing, this Steelers RB situation is nerve racking. Bell is the only one drafted by someone in my league while Redman and Jones are still available...
 
your bench dont come up. your starting team is nice. rb's great . te great  like to see what bench looks like to upgrade brown. but then again brown has upside as long as his td's go up.

appreciate the insight. the clock was ticking so i just grabbed dallas with my last pick. same thing happened with the matt bryant pick. i dont remember who it was but i tried picking someone who was already drafted and just went with him. those live drafts are tough as hell.
