OFFICIAL 2013 FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK

Kubiak says he wants to keep Tate and Foster sharing carries.... damn, b.

Do I flex:
Mike Williams at home vs. NO
Tavon Austin playing vs/in ATL
Kenny Stills playing vs/in TB
or.......Ben Tate at home vs. TENN

I have Foster starting too.... :nerd:

any idea's?

All reports are Tate and Foster will split carries.. is Tate worth flexing or should I go Mike Williams/Tavon?..

I mentioned in an earlier post that I've also employed the strategy of streaming defenses over the last few years.  More often than not you're able to match the production of an "elite defense" over the course of a season.

You've put yourself in a bit of a tough position as you spent a pick that could have otherwise used on a depth player and as a result probably feel obligated to commit to them long term.  At this point it's up to your personal preference.  You could cut ties and play the match-ups the rest of the way but realize that someone else will likely view SF as a commodity and promptly snap them up, with the probability existing that they hold onto them for the rest of the year.  Or you could just set-it-and-forget-it and focus on maximizing the rest of the talent on your roster.

Proposed a trade today with SF in it... but I just picked up another defense and now I have 2 (had to drop LaGarrette Blount who I picked up yesterday), and I think I'm going to play SF against bad and average offenses, and the other spot will be a plug-and-play for when San Fran plays teams like Seattle, or whoever. Think I'm starting Arizona this week. They go against Detroit, but it's at Arizona. Stafford will try to force things a bit too much, and I think Reggie gets stopped by a defense that actually plays like they want it, not to mention their defense is their strength. Patrick Peterson was lock down last week.

Maybe the guy will accept the trade and I can go back to the strategy that had been working for me over the years. I won the championship last year and I was doing that.

Was supposed to get Randall Cobb in a trade for Dalton and Jeffery but they changed at the last moment to Jordy Nelson instead. I still took it of course though.

Only question mark this week for me is starting Carolina's D vs Bills or Houston's D vs Titans...

really cant decide on jordy or edelman for the start this week...

Should i pick up ridley off of waivers, i can drop a bradshaw or d williams

I still think you're getting the better end of the deal but that's because I'm really high on Gordon.

Just accepted. Yeah I needed RB depth and I tried to get Wilson last week but no-go. I think he figures this fumblitis out tho. If not I have T Rich & Ray. I like to go with WR at FLEX b/c its a passing league.

REPPED!

How does NT feel about TE Dwayne Allen?

how high would you guys rank Reggie Bush...do you all think he is worthy of being called a top 5 fantasy back?

Wilson will be a really good RB3/FLEX play to go along with Richardson and Rice.

I actually just had a discussion about preference of playing WR or RB in the FLEX spot.

The top 20 WRs for a week will almost always outscore the top 20 RBs but the problem is that the top 20 WRs experience much more variability form week to week.  Let's look at Week 1 as an example.  Some WRs that did well but very few people started:  Hankerson, Hartline, Royal, Kearse, Simpson, Brown.  And WRs that almost everyone started but gave you duds:  Dez, Decker, Bowe, Wallace, White.

Both lists for RBs are much shorter because they are more consistent overall.  That being said, a lot of it is dependent on your roster and if you've got a plethora of WRs with great match-ups then you'll definitely want them in your lineup.

As far as Allen goes, I think he has the same problem that guys like Eifert/Gresham and Julius Thomas have in that they are on offenses where there's a lot of other guys that will take away targets so expecting him to consistently give you 6+ points week in and week out is folly.

In a PPR league I would definitely call him top 5.  Standard scoring he can still probably end up top 10 in that offense.

Between Russell Wilson, Roethlisberger and Terrell Pryor who should I be looking to trade?  I need serious help at the RB and WR spots

^ Only one of those guys that's gonna get any interest is Russell Wilson and he's not gonna get too much interest anyway. Maybe Terrelle Pryor if he keeps getting all these rushing yards in the next few weeks.

I'd go Houston.

Locker ain't beating them with his arm.

The panther front 7 is extremely good but their back 4 are terrible. EJ had success last week against a bad secondary.

Tru...what's the word on Ed Reed?

If you need serious help, don't trade the worst (which is Pryor, one week is one week). Going off that "one week is one week" motto, don't trade Big Ben yet. His stock is as low as it's ever going to be this season. Even if he's not playing good the rest of the way, you'll still get more for him then than you will now.

Wait a week or two before looking for a trade so the picture is not so distorted and you can tell which commodities are worth keeping. Until then, get on that waiver wire.

^ Your team is fine imo. It's only been 1 week . Sub Bowe for Roddy if he's limited again this week.

I'd try to sell Bell while his value is high and package Brown to get a solid WR2. There's a good chance Bush will miss some time down the line but I think Jacobs will eventually get some serious touches. Bowe should be a solid Flex option if the matchup is favorable and you still have Bush anyway. Or you could try a straight up trade with Morris for a middle/low tier WR1.

Honestly, I'd take a flier on a FA WR with a good matchup and hope it pans out this week. If there is seriously no one worth picking up then I'd try the first trade.

I would trade Foster for a RB2+ WR2. You could try to get a 1 and 2, but no one would. So something like a Larry Fitz+ /Ridley/Gore/Forte

SIt tight. play Bowe. Done.

Otherwise, trade the Foster/Tate package for something.... Dez Bryant? Or like pierre garcon and a mid level RB
