in all seriousness, i hope j charles will be ok. really thought he'd have a big year in the new system, new qb, and new coach.
 
So I'm in a 12 team two keeper league in standard ESPN format with Brady and LeSean McCoy as my keepers. I wanna draft a RB with my first pick and I really wanna draft both Tavon and DeAndre Hopkins but I wouldn't want either to be my #1 or maybe even my #2 WR to start out with. When would be the best time to draft them?
 
Depends how set you are at WR and TE but I expect David Wilson and Mike Williams to have big seasons.

FIrst of all stop thinking 12 rounds ahead.

It's okay to target guys but don't draft around that mindset.

Make sure you draft an RB with your first and probably 2nd pick. Sure up your backfield, that's always proper strategy in standard leagues.

Tavon you can get in like 10th+ and Hopkins even later. Tavon is a WR 3 at this point and Hopkins should be a flex at best as of right now.

We did a live draft in person

We did a live draft in person and left the last two picks empty. Hopkins over Boldin?
 
Held a draft this weekend for my wife's family. I don't play in it because well, it wouldn't be fair, but I of course help my wife out. (she's the commissioner) (Which means I do all the work :lol: :smh: )

Anyhoo, her team was already pretty strong. And for some reason her brother wanted to help make it stronger. He offered her Arian Foster and Demaryius Thomas for Chris Johnson and her second round pick. (I said yes to that in .00000001 seconds)

So she wrapped with a core of Luck, McCoy, Foster, Ridley, Lamar Miller, Calvin, Thomas, Nicks, Seattle D, Legatron, and her TE's were Miller and Greg Olsen I believe.
She should make the playoffs, I'm thinkin. :lol:

I took over a team for a bit as my Nephew will be gettin out of prison in 2 months, after a 6 year bit. So to honor him, I drafted the team for him and will give it to him when he gets out to help get things "normal" again for him. And if he's not ready for it right away, I'll run it for him til he is ready.

Peyton, Vick, Rice, Morris, McFadden, Gio Bernard, Julio, Cobb, Bowe, Tavon Austin, Rudolph, Keller, couple kickers and Denver/Miami for defense.
I should probably make the playoffs too. :lol:

I always go to my brother's draft and volunteer as the "pick recorder". My favorite part of the fantasy football season is the draft, and that lets me experience it twice a year even if I'm not a part of it, + gives me a window into how people pick and how it will translate to my actual draft.

In fact, one of the guys in my brother's draft last year couldn't make it, so they let me draft for him. His team finished 1st in the regular season standings. 8) :lol:

And I won the championship in my league on the arm of Peyton Manning, and the SUPERB supporting core of Bryce Brown, T.Y. Hilton, Antonio Brown, and Knowshon Moreno. :lol: How I won... I don't know. Was the last team to make the playoffs and made a run. :pimp:

Who would you guys start at RB? Mcfadden, Reggie Bush or Lamar Miller? My other Rb is Doug Martin.

Leaning towards Reggie Bush right now
 
Would it be wise to trade my 7th spot for the 11th? It's a 12 man league btw..

:lol: been looking for the FF thread and didn't realize it's damn near 40 pages now.

Trying something new in a league I'm starting up with some friends. Going to eliminate the kicker and add an extra flex position. See how that works out.

No sir. Miller has speed, potential and great upside.

Thomas is slow, fumbles, and is injury prone. While he might take a couple 3rd and 1/goalline carries here and there as the bigger back, eventually Miller will prove to be the much better runner. Thomas will be lucky to be on the roster by next year.
