OFFICIAL 2013 FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK

That's getting vetoed with a quickness if it doesn't that's hell of a deal

There's only been I think 2 trades all season. Most of the guys in the league are impossible to trade with so when it goes through, I feel that most people won't veto the trade. At least, that's what I'm hoping for.

The problem is that he doesn't have Doug Martin yet. He says he's pretty close to getting him. Just have to wait for that trade to happen before I hop on his trade offer. He's been wanting Gio all season.

That Julio news man. :smh:

I still have hope though. Keyword in all the reports being "may".

Alright, a little update on my possible trade. He wants Gio/Stevie Johnson for Decker/Martin. I'm still leaning towards this trade. The only worry is during playoff time. I believe it's week 14,15,16. I shouldn't have any worry that Decker will be sitting right?

Thats still a no brainer dude. take the martin side. absolutely.

I dont see Broncos sitting anyone, but thats me.

if thats the case then im screwed come playoff time since i have Peyton

here is week 5 weekly article from nffc.  hope you guys enjoy it.

Here are some random thoughts and observations as I wonder if the Lions regret not doing more to provide a legitimate complement at wide receiver for Calvin Johnson.

Seems like I’ve spent a lot of time this year on Twitter defending my stance that Andrew Luck is a stud. Makes me wonder if people have even watched him. What’s not to like? He has superstar written all over him. If he’s breathing, he starts for me against everyone. End of story.

The stats may not show it but I thought Trent Richardson looked better as the game went along against a tough Seattle defense on Sunday. He’s not setting the world on fire just yet but I still think it’s just a matter of time. He’s giving Indy exactly what it needs in the backfield to complement everything Luck can do in the passing game.

And that, my friends, is why the Colts need to figure out ways to get the ball to TY Hilton more.

Dammit Donald Brown. Yes, you will always be Dammit Donald Brown to me.

There’s been a lot of consternation about Russell Wilson in the early going of the fantasy season but if you watch Seattle it’s obvious there’s nothing wrong with the Seahawks’ passing game Percy Harvin couldn’t cure.

Before the season began, Brandon Marshall said he wouldn’t duplicate his 2012 production because Alshon Jeffery was going to become a larger part of the offense. In the last three games, Jeffery has put up 22-376-2. I’d say that qualifies as a larger role.

Hold on, Matt Schaub just threw another Pick-6.

I’m tellin ya – Jimmy Graham needs to be the first non-running back taken in 2014 drafts.

Graham’s also the one constant in the high-powered New Orleans passing attack. Marques Colston and Darren Sproles were extremely quiet against the Bears while Pierre Thomas got his turn in the limelight. But as always, Graham got his. As long as he’s healthy he’s always gonna get his.

The only word I can use to describe what I saw in Cincinnati between the Bengals and Patriots is ugly. REAL ugly. OK, that’s two words.

Giovani Bernard owners badly want Benjarvus Green-Ellis to go away but I’ll keep repeating that he won’t. He’s still a solid running back and can be productive, as was the case on Sunday against New England.

Randall Cobb Feature Back. Has a nice ring to it.

If there was any question going into Week 5 about who the Packers want to be their lead back (other than Cobb, of course) it was answered with conviction on Sunday. The job is Eddie Lacy’s as long as he’s healthy. If you’re stashing Jonathan Franklin or James Starks, you’re doing it for possible handcuff purposes only. Neither one of them is a threat to a healthy Lacy, who brings a power dimension to the Green Bay offense it badly needs.

I have no idea what the Detroit game plan was at Green Bay on Sunday but it sure wasn’t to creatively utilize Reggie Bush as a means to compensate for Calvin Johnson’s absence in the passing game. I’m not an NFL head coach but that might’ve been something the Lions should’ve considered.

I still like you Tavon Austin but from a fantasy perspective he’s now dead to me. It’s clear the Rams have no idea whatsoever how to best use him. If he can’t produce against a bad Jacksonville team he’s useless.

I’m still waiting for Jamaal Charles’ first explosive play of the season. I know it’s coming. In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy all the points he’s putting up. What a stud.

We saw glimmers of the old Phil Rivers last night in terms of some poor decisions in the pocket but I will say this – if Vincent Brown and Keenan Allen continue to emerge the Chargers will be loaded in the passing game. Combine those two young receivers with Antonio Gates and Danny Woodhead and that’s a lot of options for defenses to worry about each week.

Even if Ryan Mathews hadn’t gotten hurt (again) last night, the San Diego backfield clearly belongs to Woodhead now.

The 49ers’ defense looks better without Aldon Smith than it looked with him. Go figure.

I give Jim Harbaugh a lot of credit – he sees the Niners don’t have much to work with in the passing game so rather than put too much pressure on Colin Kaepernick, he scaled back the offense and built it around Frank Gore (and Kendall Hunter) and the running game. That’s how you utilize the talent at your disposal.

From a fantasy perspective, though, Kaepernick has dropped down to high-end QB2 territory. He didn’t look good last night against the Texans and he’s not being asked to do a lot. He’s still capable of some big moments but he’s no longer a Must Start every week if you have a viable alternative.

Every quarterback who threw for more than 300 yards on Sunday lost except for Peyton Manning. And every quarterback who threw for more than 400 yards on Sunday lost except for Peyton Manning. Moral of the story? Peyton Manning’s good.

Ryan Fitzpatrick isn’t an extremely talented quarterback but he sure is scrappy. That makes him fun to watch.

Ray Rice – 5 touches in Week 4. 33 touches in Week 5. Yup, I think the Ravens got the memo.

At some point Andre Ellington’s going to supplant Rashard Mendenhall, right? I’m not the only one who thinks this is rather obvious, am I?

If you’re in a trading league I hope you were able to deal Michael Vick when you had the chance. I doubt anybody’s gonna take a chance on him now. Vick was the definition of a Sell High player if I ever saw one in the season’s first month.

Speaking of which, that whole Chip Kelly Is Going To Reinvent The NFL Offense storyline sure was fun in the first 30 minutes of the season.

I’m not sure we can say that Hakeem Nicks is back but I will say if you have a slumping former star and he’s facing the Eagles by all means give him a shot. The upside is tremendous.

I gave Vincent Brown, Keenan Allen and Terrance Williams a lot of love on our Sirius show last week and all three came through. Sometimes, it just feels nice to hit on a bunch like that.

Charles Clay just keeps scoring touchdowns.

Hold on … yup, that was another Pick-6 by Matt Schaub.

David Wilson giveth and David Wilson taketh away.

Welcome back, Justin Blackmon. Now try not to be an idiot, ok?

The Texans are a mess right now but Arian Foster looks good. In a related story, I no longer see a large volume of “Foster is in decline” and “Tate needs to replace Foster” Tweets all over my Twitter timeline these days.

I’m not sure what more I can say about the Broncos-Cowboys game than Wow.

I was definitely wrong about Terrelle Pryor. Watching him in college I didn’t think he had an NFL game but he clearly does. He still makes some rookie mistakes but those should be corrected as he gains more experience. He can make plays from the pocket and of course he can run. The Raiders don’t have much but I think they have a quarterback and that's a pretty good place to start.

I like the Vikings' decision to sign Josh Freeman. Christian Ponder’s awful and Matt Cassel isn’t the long-term answer. Makes sense to kick the tires on Freeman for the rest of this season and see what he might have to offer.

The Broncos are 28-point favorites over Jacksonville in Week 6. Does that seem low to anyone else?

And finally, if you started Tony Romo, Pierre Thomas, Fred Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, TY Hilton, Terrance Williams and Julius Thomas this week you're not allowed to ***** about anything the rest of this week. I mean it.

QB- Brady
QB- Newton
WR- Josh Gordon
WR- Calvin Johnson
WR- Antonio Brown
RB- Lesean McCoy
RB- Matt Forte
W/R- Vincent Jackson
W/R- Cecil Shorts
K-Akers

Guy who's struggling in my league offered this to me

I get:

Marshawn Lynch
Vincent Brown

He gets:

T-Rich
Stevie Johnson
Joique Bell

My WRs

Vincent Jackson
Antonio Brown
Josh Gordon
Harry Douglas

RBs

Alfred Morris
Le'Veon Bell
Andre Ellington

Do I get the better end of the deal?

Peyton owners who is your back up?

Is Marques Colston even being targeted anymore? I'm definitely benching him in favor of Alshon this week.

I mean the upgrade from Richardson to Marshawn alone is enormous.

How many teams in this league? I'm a bit surprised you're undefeated with that squad.

Need another receiver now that Julio went down.

Should I submit a waiver request for Justin Blackmon, Terrance Williams, Rueben Randle, Robert Woods, or Keenan Allen? I'm thinking Blackmon, but if that doesn't go through who should I aim for next?

I'm 1-4 in my money league.

Can't emm complain about luck and whatnot.

I got the least amount of points. :smh:

Damn you David Wilson and CJ Spiller.

Lost in two leagues on that Matt Ryan touchdown.

Megatron :smh:

 Thats who I have too. Already put in the claim don't expect to get him though |I

i think i should be able to get him i think i have 2 or 3 claim and i doubt who ever has first is going after him.

but then again this waiver thing is stupid i probably wont get him even though i have a higher claim.

12 teams.... 1ppr

im just as surprised as you but my boys are putting up numbers every week. yes, cam newton is doing a terrible job of leading my team. I benched him week 1 for EJ manuel and grabbed alex smith for his bye week... might just commit alex smith to the starting position because Cam is pissin me off...

other than that, had shane vereen week 1, dropped him for bell after he got injured hoping bell was coming back week 2. I have the 2nd most points in my league only 2nd to a guy who had Peyton, fred jackson, torrey smith Dez Bryant, alshon Jeffery and danny woodhead have a ridiculous week this past week... who i already bet in week 2.
