OFFICIAL 2013 FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK

A.J. Green (knee) declared himself 100 percent after taking part in individual drills Wednesday.
We'll be able to judge for ourselves on next week's Hard Knocks. Green figures to be held out of Saturday's preseason game, but should be ready for Cincy's regular season dress rehearsal on August 24.

should i drop santonio holmes or justin blackmon for brandon lafell?and someone dropped the ravens d today as well, should i drop my cowboys defense for them?
gota be patient budd. i dont know if you can make as many moves as you want. my leagues you get 1,000 fa money and spend it as you wish once a week. holmes drop for lafell is a no brianer if you make as many moves as you wish.

What's up guys, I'm in a 16 team, keeper league and I got the 10t pick in the draft. My keeper this year is Arian Foster, and I don't have a 3rd or 4th round pick. I'm thinking of going with 2 wr's with my first 2 picks, it's a ppr league. Or should I draft a rb and wr instead? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know but I kind of like Justin Blackmon I know he'll be serving a 4 game suspension, but I think he has a lot of potential he was targeted a lot throughout the season and towards the end he picked it up.

Ok there are 4 keepers max and they are all 6th round and below I have the 14th pick in the but the first pick in the second round. It's a non PPR league. What should I do?

^ Are you a totally new team or are you taking over someone else's team? Seems kind of unfair for everyone else to have keepers and make you start fresh with a draft full of 2nd tier players.

Totally new team. There keepers are from the 6th round and below.

Need some advice guys. I'm in a keeper league (2 player max- no 1st or 2nd rounders)but we don't have to keep any players unless we want to but if I do decide to keep a player I lose 2 draft picks. I drafted Dez in the 6th last year and if I keep him I have don't pick in the 4th or 5th round. Which would leave me with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and then on to the 6th rd

Thats the only player I'm thinking of keeping. I also drafted B. Marshall in the 4th but I don't think I want to lose a 2nd and 3rd for him.

Should I keep Dez or just try and draft him in the 3rd round if he's still there? I have the 8th of 12 picks in this years draft. My strategy is to get WR and RB in the 1st 4-5 rounds and then get a QB later on...

I can't believe it but a guy in my keeper league gave up Ridley or Martin to keep Matt Ice????? My team as of now with the 9th pick in a 14 team draft, standard (nonPPR, 4pt per pass TD, 6pt per reception/rushing):

1. (9) Jamaal Charles
(KC - RB)
2. (20) Jimmy Graham
(NO - TE)
3. (37) Lamar Miller
(Mia - RB)
4. (48) Hakeem Nicks
(NYG - WR)
5. (65) Jordy Nelson
(GB - WR)
6. (76) Russell Wilson
(Sea - QB)
7. (93) Daryl Richardson
(StL - RB)
8. (104) Aaron Dobson
(NE - WR)
9. (121) Andre Roberts
(Ari - WR)
10. (132) Bernard Pierce
(Bal - RB)
11. (149) Kendall Wright
(Ten - WR)
12. (160) Carson Palmer
(Ari - QB)
13. (177) Mohamed Sanu
(Cin - WR)
14. (188) Pittsburgh
(Pit - DEF)
15. (205) Garrett Hartley
(NO - K)

Had the 9th pick but I missed the first 2 rounds. Ideally, with that 9th pick it would have been between Charles and Mccoy so no biggie in picking up Charles for a 9th pick. On the turn, it took Jimmy Graham which I'm not too excited about since I usually wait on TE's and Brees, Julio, Cruz, CJ2K, White, Fitz were all still there. Knew I was going to be struggling if I didn't get another RB so I went with Miller over Bush a this spot and proceeded to go on a WR binge. Then came the 6th and I knew I was going Romo then Wilson and Romo got sniped right before me (next were Eli, Vick, Big Ben, Flacco, and Dalton - I didn't want any part of any of them as a starter).

But we'll see, somethings gonna suffer hardcore when you take a TE so early and in this case it's my WR's.

Thoughts?

I have a Yahoo league that I've been doing with other Niketalk members and this is the 5th year it's been running.

There are 4 spots still open for a PPR league. Draft is set for Thursday Aug 29 at 8:45 Central.

Leave an email or PM with an email and I'll send you an invite.

2 teams still needed

Your WRs are very weak. Nicks and Nelson won't play all 16 games. Not much RB depth too.

I'm playing in a 14- team league too and also have the 9th pick. I'm planning to have at least 6 RBs on my roster since I'll be starting a RB in the flex.

Not too sure if Lamar Miller over Reggie Bush was a good pick. I expect Bush to put up some really good numbers this year in that offense. I love Miller's potential for this year but Bush is a proven commodity and could put up his best numbers to date.

I'd keep Dez for a 6th for sure. That's great value since Dez is going in the 2nd round in all drafts.

#Packers RB Johnathan Franklin will be primarily used as a third down back or receiver, per the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Per @Paulimig #Packers RB Eddie Lacy "stands out in pass protection". It's becoming more clear that he's the every-down back in Green Bay.

Coby Fleener (concussion) is expected to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Giants.

Although it's Fleener's second concussion in as many seasons, he's gained quick clearance. This one was apparently extremely mild. Fleener will practice once again Thursday and is ticketed for a big role in the Pep Hamilton's offense. They're going to use a ton of "12" formations (one back, two tight ends).

the rb situation in GB was very unclear to me before this.

lacy was getting mad love considering his ranking, and i wasnt completely sure but i guess this cements his role. could end up with a ridley year. lot of touches and a lot of goal line tds.

thoughts on Darren Sproles?
He's an absolute monster in PPR leagues. Not too shabby in standard leagues either. He's one of those guys that if you've never had him, you can't really appreciate how good he is. Last season he missed 3 games with a hand injury and still finished as the 13th ranked PPR RB. He'll be either #1 or 2 in targets on the Saints every week. Brees constantly checks down to him and throws to him often inside the 10 yard line. I read a Megatron-esque stat of him a week ago; he was tackled at the goal line 4 times last season. With Sean Payton back I see him running the ball alot more, like he did in 2011. Depending on who else is available, I'm taking him in the 3rd-4th rounds no doubt.
