Raider heads, who do you guys see as emerging talent in the next few yrs?
and do you see Dennis & Reggie as building a winner in Oaktown?

By emerging talent you mean currently on the roster? If so, Lamarr Houston, Marcel Reece and Tyvon Branch show the most promise out of guys that are supposed to be with us long term. And Jared Veldheer. Other guys the jury is out on but there's guys with potential.

As far as DA and Reggie go, I can't give a final say on either yet, like to see what they pull next year. If they show no progress then I'm ready to move on. I'm not a fan of Reggie's draft choices thus far but a few of the guys (Moore, Hayden, Watson) haven't had enough time to break out yet but have potential.

Yeah Reggie's evaluation of talent at this point is questionable. The big question I have is does he stick with Allen on what I would think is his last year to prove he can build the Raiders into a winner. Or does he chase a big name head coach.

I'm losing faith in DA...these last 3 games are all games we are projected to lose..if we lose out man I wouldn't be surprised if rumors started rumbling.

There is literally nothing that points towards Dennis Allen being a losing coach besides idiotic fans having unrealistic expectations. Look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you want to be one of them

Game this week was an interesting spot. We will run 2qb system tank mode the rest of season. No q about that. Lets root for a top pick at this point.

Both Reggie and DA have another 2 years. Unless next year is a complete bomb. DA is a defensive minded head coach (think BB) and was given a veteran laden roster this year and lets be honest, they patched it up well. Very solid D this year. Dont be short sighted.

Mcdonald is a hack btw

Anyway, offense has been a joke. Needs to be revamped. As bad of a wideout core as you'll see. The promising oline has dealt with many many injuries again

Go and read the Cowboy quotes after the Thanksgiving game, nearly every o-lineman said that Lamaar was the strongest dlineman they've gone against

And to the people against Hayden? **** you. You're a bunch of show me now cats guaranteed. Corners are the hardest players to judge and can go up/down faster than any position. Thats all being said without mentioning what the ******g kid went through these last 18 months. EVERY scout had him as a top 15-20 pick. We werent all blind and we dont know anything about him yet. Talib for the Pats was considered a bust in Tampa n got ran out way too quick. Who wouldnt want him now?

Football isnt similar to nba or mlb. 90% of you dont understand what it means to evaluate talent. Theres a hell of a lot more to it than making one spectacular play a game, and more importantly you don't need a bunch of stars, as youd think you'd realize this past few years, u need depth with guys like Sio Moore to win long term

We'll have a top five pick no problem. Have to hope Anthony Barr will be there when it's our turn.

Barr would be nice, but unlikely. Personally I'm not huge on his intensity

Khalil Mack would be incredible IMO. Him abd Sio Moore eek

I just worry he'll be gone by the time we pick

Vic Beasley not an awful 3rd option but feels bustish which I hate

Marquise Lee, I am against WR's early but...tough to ignore the talent when its an area of concern. Very unlikely we'd go that route though...of course I only mention him if we win a couple games to end the year

Hundley would be a solid fit too, of course. I am in the Pryor full year camp though

I'm down with Barr or Mack.

Not sold on Carr but would take Bridgewater in a heartbeat.
I'd love Blake Bortles with the early 2nd round pick but I doubt he'll be there.

Sammy Watkins if we're going receiver.

Our offensive line is looking much better.

Pryor... sigh... he can't pass, man. Dude still bailed on the pocket way to quickly.
McGloin played well... but we still need a franchise QB man, these dudes ain't it.

Great post. It's coming. Another 2 years of solid offseason moves will have us right.

Barr or Mack would be nice. There's so many ways Reggie could go in this draft though since there's a handful of positions that need addressing. OLB/QB/WR seem like the most likely 3. HELL NO to a full year of Pryor man, he's just not smart. Gives up on plays early and can't make reads. I get he was a fine option beginning of the year due to the fact we needed someone that could make plays on the run because the o line was playing like **** but I'm not trying to watch another season of that ****. I don't know if McG is a long term answer either but he is relatively patient in the pocket and makes decent reads, fine enough with the team we have right now.

We need a QB in my opinion. Bridgewater...if he's available, how can we pass on him? We have holes at many other positions, but a quality passer can mask those other positions until we can adequately address them.

I try to follow college, but I'm not up on Barr. What position and school? I'll research him

UCLA OLB, look up Khalil Mack from Buffalo too. 2 of the top pass rush prospects that may be there when we pick.

I wish we traded for Josh Gordon too.

Any good WRs in upcoming free agent pool?

Hakeem Nicks if you want to take that chance. I wanted him in the draft we took DHB but he's always hurt and has been underperforming big time this season.
Then there's Jeremy Maclin and Boldin. There's some lower tier guys like Decker, Edelman and Britt ( :x ) but we have guys that can fill those roles IMO. Louis Murphy will be a free agent too guys :smokin

Bridgewater would be a blessing, but I'm almost positive he's the first pick off the board. His talent doesn't get passed on easily.

Right now Bridgewater is ranked 8th on ESPN's first round board, but he's the first QB listed. Of the teams currently in front of us for drafting, Houston, Buffalo, Minnesota, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville all need a QB. We're fortunate (lol) in that we're likely to lose the rest of our games this season, so we should rise in the draft a good amount.

Thank you. I'll definitely do that. We need pass rushers. It's a little tough to watch Tarver have to draw up these delayed Safety/Corner blitzes on 3rd down just to generate that additional pressure. Sometimes they work...but when they're blocked well...definite first down.

How would you guys feel about Jay Cutler or Big Ben? One (or both) may be available which would instantly put us in the market for their services. I suppose if we didn't want to address QB in the draft just yet, I would be onboard for Jay. Veteran with a nice arm and knows this division. We could do worse

I'd be fine with both, though Jay has seen his fair share of injuries which would scare me a little. Not sure if either would want to come here though.

We have to remember that Mark Davis was the one that forced DA to start Pryor in the last game last season. Allen and Reggie have never been fans of Pryor as the future starter, so it's definitely not surprising that they would rather give McGloin his chance (particularly since we need to evaluate our roster as much as possible going into the offseason).

Where did you read that Mark Davis forced them to start TP last year vs SD? If I remember correctly Palmer was out and it was him or Matt Leinart

Local beat writers Steve Corkran and Jerry McDonald have reported it. I know they may not be popular with some of you, but they're honest and even when it comes to reporting on the team, Corkran especially. He's written multiple times about how much Mark Davis likes Pryor.
