D Mac would be fine if we had an o-line worth a damn. For a vertical runner, what is he supposed to do when no gaps are being made? We're just sending him into a pile of men and hoping he can make gold from ****.

This team is only going to go so far this year with the protection we're getting. Defense has been great, still not getting much from our db's outside of Woodson though.

Penalty's and turnovers lost this game, we have wine glasses protecting Pryor, let DMC walk if he declines a one year deal to come back, I would draft O Line and fix that ASAP and bring DMC back, Barry Sanders couldn't run behind this line! This was Pryor's 7th start! He had no line and got to the point to where he had NOBODY out there to help him! Besides Moore's TD we did nothing on offense. We are closer than many think. We wil dominate again! Looking foward to 10/27 steelers coming in, lets go Raiders!!!!!!

And I hate to admit it because I truly hate KC with a passion!!!!! But the fans really exposed our Oline that changed the game, once that crowd got going it rattled the Oline and Pryor had no chance. Props to our D! Stout!

Bummer, I did not get to see the game as I was on vacation. I was hoping this would of been a great statement game. However, I am looking forward to the game after the bye week.

I'm with you minus the fact that the GOAT RB couldn't run behind our line. Barry's line was trash too man...but Barry wasn't an injury prone, no shift having *** RB. Barry would have the sexiest 4 yard runs ever. DMC should take some credit for his inability to run for more than 16 yards at a time.
Deep pocketed investors sign up for Coliseum City
By Matthew Artz Oakland Tribune
POSTED:   09/30/2013 08:00:00 PM PDT |  UPDATED:   15 DAYS AGO

OAKLAND -- A well-connected Dubai financier and the world's third-largest privately held real estate firm are teaming up to invest in Coliseum City, providing a significant shot-in-the-arm to Oakland's effort to redevelop the sprawling Coliseum complex into a sports and entertainment center.

The investment group is composed of Colony Capital LLC, which manages investments totaling $32 billion, and Rashid Al Malik, an investor who recently served as deputy CEO of a multibillion dollar aerospace firm founded by the uncle of Dubai's ruling sheik.

Operating under the banner Bay Investment Group, LLC, Al Malik and Colony are slated to join Oakland's master-planning team for the Coliseum complex and help fund a new stadium feasibility study.

More importantly, they also want to take the lead in redeveloping the Coliseum complex, which is surrounded by parking lots and cut off from surrounding neighborhoods and city life.

"We are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to work in partnership with the City of Oakland (and) Rashid Al Malik ... to develop this unique property, which we expect will become a transformational and vital urban, residential sports and entertainment center for this city," Colony CEO Thomas J. Barrack, Jr. said in a prepared statement.

Mayor Jean Quan said she'd like to see a family-oriented venue that included a bowling alley, roller skating rink, shops, bars, homes and a high-end hotel.

"I'm thrilled," Quan said about the new investment team. "They are very successful and they have very deep pockets, so they can probably afford to do the project exactly how we would like it."

Coliseum City has long been dismissed as a pipe dream mainly because it envisioned privately-financed new homes for all three of Oakland's sports teams, even the Golden State Warriors, which have proposed building a new home in San Francisco, and the Oakland A's, which still pine for San Jose. It also calls for the development of a technology district near the Oakland International Airport.

While the master plan, which covers 800 acres on both sides of Interstate 880, would accommodate facilities for all three teams, officials said the final project could still be viable with only one or two new stadiums. The most likely sports partner would be the Oakland Raiders.

Al Malik's firmm, HayaH Holding, and Colony have both shown interest in similar types of projects. They recently joined forces in a failed bid to purchase AEG, a major entertainment venue owner and operator that developed LA Live, the sports and entertainment center anchored by the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Colony has already been active in the sports and leisure market. It owns Miramax Films, the Fairmont chain of hotels and previously owned the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team.

The firm's involvement in particular makes the East Oakland development appear more plausible, said Robert Boland, the academic chair of sports business at New York University's Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports.

"When you think of Colony Capital and its hotel properties, its casino properties and its entertainment investments, this kind of project would have some resonance," he said.

The upcoming study will delve deeper into the market for a new Raiders stadium at the Coliseum site. Raiders owner Mark Davis and a private consultant hired by the city have both said recently that the local market would only support a roughly 58,000-seat stadium at the Coliseum site.

There are concerns among Oakland's planning team that such a facility, which would be the NFL's smallest, wouldn't attract major events like a Super Bowl or successfully anchor an entertainment district.

"Our team feels that the market can support something bigger than that," said Ed McFarlan, a principal of JRDV Architects, which is among several firms working on the project's master plan. "If we're going to privately finance a stadium, it needs to be a multipurpose entertainment venue."

Oakland has earmarked $3.2 million in preliminary work for Coliseum City, including funds for site planning and environmental studies that will both lay out the grand vision for the project and consider fallback options should the sports facilities not materialize.

The City Council still must approve the new investors coming on board and also agree to extend the planning team's exclusive negotiating agreement, which expires later this month.

The council is scheduled to discuss the project in private on Tuesday. A public discussion on extending the negotiating period and bringing aboard the new investors is scheduled for Oct. 8.

From two weeks ago but I don't think this was posted. This is a HUGE development.

If the A's stay I'd still rather see them downtown/JLS but this new investment group is optimistic about exploring the redevelopment of the Coliseum site without the A's or the Warriors with the Raiders as their primary focus.

This group has the kind of money to spur the type of redevelopment that is way bigger than sports and just a new home for the Oakland Raiders. They have the type of money to make redeveloping an entire subsection of East Oakland economically feasible.

I say we need to wait and see their presentation to the public with Oakland officials before we can get excited about this. I'd love for this to happen, but I wonder what the parameters of the deal would be.

I consider myself an optimist but with anything of this nature I'll wait to for shovels to actually be in the ground before I really get excited but this is easily the most excite worthy news to date. Still a long way to go but this is real forward progress.

This is when the presentation is going to happen. If you are an Oakland resident and/or a Raiders fan, it seems imperative to show support here:

You are highly encouraged to attend this meeting next Tuesday, October 22nd at 5 pm. This meeting is of high importance, as we need to show complete support for the Oakland City Council in passing an amendment that allows the City of Oakland to add the new investment team (Rashid Al Malik of Dubai and Colony Capital LLC) to the Coliseum City negotiations. This new investment team will be responsible for much, if not all of the funding for Coliseum City.

We must show up in large #'s to show our support to the full City Council that will be on hand, and responsible for the vote that will take place.

Please try to attend, if at all possible. STAY OAKLAND!!!!!

5pm is sooooooooo early gonna be hard for some people to make it. If it were at 7 or 8pm I'd be there.

I've been following Dr. Death on twitter for months because he seriously has been involved in a lot of this...crazy to see a fan actually involved...but he spear headed the fan involvement today and actually had a speech to the city council members and everything (in full Dr. Death gear lol)

I haven't found much info on what went down, but ran across an article saying that an extension was passed to keep negotations going for another 12 months....so I guess we'll be waiting and seeing for awhile longer.

I do remember a couple weeks ago Mayor Quan saying she's expecting some good news for the Raiders by years end...

Also Mark Davis was reportedly checking out sites in Concord last week, I believe...

It would be awesome if that all works out. Fingers crossed, we need a solution to that piece of **** stadium ASAP. I still can't believe there were people that thought the trough bathroom system was a good idea.

Raiders waived DT Christo Bilukidi. They also claimed LB Martez Wilson off waivers from the Saints.

Dennis Allen: Stefen Wisniewski "ready to go" against Steelers, calls it "huge"

By Levi Damien on Oct 23 2013, 1:57p

The best news possible for the Raiders this week was the return of starting center Stefen Wisniewski. He was at practice today and according to Dennis Allen, looks to a go against the Steelers Sunday.

"I felt like he moved around good," said Allen. "All signs are that he's gonna be ready to go."

The center position is key in any offense, but more so with a young quarterback like Terrelle Pryor who needs to work with the center who knows the Raiders offense the best and who he developed chemistry with over the first four games of the season.

"I think that's huge," said Allen. "I think what he means to our offensive line, the type of player he is, his intelligence level. It helps us with a lot of the communication. Not only in protection and schemes but also in the run game, so I think having him back out there is a big boost for us."

"Communication is gonna be critical against this defense in making sure that we can identify where the rushers are coming from. Wiz has done a great job at that for us all year long and so it's good to have him back out there."

Wassup raider fans I know you all have prob heard this a million times already but as classic as a franchise that you all have I never understood why you all dont have a real stadium :smh: :smh: Hope you guys get one soon :smokin
