DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Being a good person certtainly doesn't mean that an interesting story can't be crafted around the character. Just like a character that's dull as a bag of rocks and dumb as a post (See Steve Rogers) can still be a part of an interesting film.
I know deep inside you love me

My man the only people that love you consist of a one-armed former friend you let fall off a train and a senile old woman who you couldn't even be bothered to meet on time for a date. You're out here crashing planes into the ground and starting civil wars. You're lucky that you're not in the DCEU or Batman would have neutralized you years ago.

There should be a youtube channel with a series dedicated to that; What If ____ Was In [Insert Movie]?

I'm unsure what you guys want. This Superman hasn't done anything ill willed. He does show more than his power. He's making decisions that involve peoples lives, like billions of peoples lives including his own.

You guys want the entire planet to be happy with him all the time? All I'm saying is it isn't unrealistic to see humanities divide on him, even if he hasn't done anything to them. You guys mention Jessica Jones. A woman tried to kill Jessica Jones because of a situation that involved the Avengers. She had family who were a casualty of their battles, so she wanted to kill Jessica.

Superman can't control the actions of the threats he faces. He can only fight them. What do you want different? It's easy to say, "This isn't what I want, change it." Do you want a Supes film where he rescues kittens and does photo-ops? Where there's never collateral damage and everyone is happy with no real problems?

I actually think Killer crock looks fine.

I'm very interested in this suicide movie. Though I really wish Oprah could have been Amanda Waller. That would have been amazing casting.

this is DC trying to be bold by creating a movie where the heroes are actually bad guys

but will these bad guys even have a higher kill count than batman?

I'll be honest, i'm barely able to see Deadshot as anything except Will Smith as it is. I don't need to be wondering why Oprah is ordering killers on missions and not giving out free houses.

I could easily see Slipknot getting blown up. He isn't in all of the group shots and he has no significant presence in the trailers. I don't think Katana will die. Or El Diablo.

Katana could be used for an Outsiders film down the line. :nerd:

EDIT: Though they could always kill her and then just replace her with a twin sister or some ****

Saw them movie on Friday ad loved it. I probably like it more because so many people hate it. I love how they didn't involve all those other characters, but still found a way to show them. I was worried that everyone was going to show up to save the day. Kudos to DC on that.

My one gripe was how Doomsday came about. Using Zod's body and luthor's blood wouldn't be my choice, but they had 2 hours so I understand.

I liked the "Zuckerberg" Luthor concept, but felt he tried to come other a little too Joker-ish. Heath-style I mean. Could've been executed better, but still entertained me. Definitely interested in more from the Cinematic DC universe.

Ben Affleck might be my favorite Bruce Wayne. Still giving Christian Bale my favorite Batman though. Someone said it before, but the dynamic between him and Alfred was awesome.

Anybody else notice Batman using gunfire? Thought that was awkward too, but it's the movie universe. Don't gotta follow comics rules.
