DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

I didn't really like this film but I'd watch is again so i approved it by default

This video had me in tears

Calling Doomsday a "disco monster"

"Murderman v Captain Hypocrite" lmao

It is extremely stupid that they had Bats get the krytonite off screen. and the idiocy of Lois with the spear didn't really strike me until the day after :smh:

The film makes it seem like Lex has been playing this long game on Bruce for the past 18 months by sending the guys checks back but Bruce doesn't even see the letters until the day Lex plans on him fighting Superman :rolleyes

Watched the film last night and it was not what I expected. The ending is what got me especially heated, I blame the writers/directors..
I remember hating the news about marvel being bought out but you know what, Disney won.

Bruh don't contribute further to the film! I hope there aren't more ppl like you that didn't like the film but are watching it a second time anyway :x

I don't understand. There are movies I like a whole lot but don't watch a second time in the theater. I only go back to the cinema like 4 percent of the time lol

The movie needs to take enough of a hit during its run so DC will reconsider leaving Snyder in charge

Might be too late for part 1 but maybe they can get someone to babysit him and then they can kick his *** out for part 2

mos had a lot of good parts. I think if they combined the two movies it would've been good. superman and batman would've teamed up to go against the kryptonians. batman would've got murked with the quickness though. Faora bae and the rest of them wouldn't have held back like superman did against batman. They're back in the phantom zone right? So my dream of Faora fighting WW is still possible.

I enjoyed it. While it did have some really random scenes and pacing issues I thought it was enjoyable. Not a DC purist, so I don't know what story line they were going with. I'd like to see what direction they take this in, if they happen to do more films.

I have 5 friends who saw it and loved it.

Idk what to believe anymore :smh: .

Get new friends.

Also, for those interested. HBOGO is streaming:

Batman: The Dark Knight Parts 1 & 2
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Batman: Year One

I'll watch all 4 within the next couple weeks esp. TDKR 1&2 since it's been highly recommended from various ppl.

I think he had the best look for bruce wayne. Basically how he looked in American Psycho. He would've been a good, crazy batman like in this movie. I'm always gonna rock with Keaton though. I loved the movies as a kid.

Yea Bale is my favorite Bruce still while Batfleck is the best Bats already imo. He was a little too brooding even as Bruce for me ,dude is usually a little more personable as Bruce

Didn't think Ben did a bad job either. Wasn't a fan of Jessie, but didn't like his casting from jump.

This poll is surprising to me. Guess I have to find time to watch it again.

I'm sure he'll be putting in work in the Bat films  :smokin. Looking like he'd hand Michael Caine the fade

I MEAN THE POLL IS IN LINE WITH WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE BOX OFFICE AND WITH VIEWER'S POLLS AS WELL, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE IN THIS THREAD. CRITIC REVIEWS HOLD ZERO WEIGHT WITH ME.

How much will they need to break even on this movie budget?
They just broke even over the weekend. I read that in total it cost WB about slightly under 400 million to make this movie. And that includes marketing costs too. Personally, I'm happy that it made its money back in 3 days. I want the DCCU the flourish. I loved this movie, but I also understand that some didn't. I want the future of the DCCU to not be as polarizing going forward

:smokin

It'll most likely drop off some next week, but people who haven't seen it are just going off of critics reviews.
