DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

By the same logic in your first paragraph what stops batman from having better plans in the future? If you think Batman did not revise his plans after he told the Justice League to overcome them I have terrible news for you. Also by that logic, batman would know when Supes is coming for him and have the DC version of the Hulkbuster Iron Man armor waiting for him.
View media item 684530View media item 684531of course it will be built to take care of Supes instead.

Second of all you dont get to change someones personality for a fight. Supes is a boyscout. What is he going to do to? Beg bats to give up? Supes moral compass is bad and he should feel bad.

Super genius? Can someone confirm this because I am calling ******** (based on the few DC comics I read). If so compare his intellect to someone in Marvel just so I can gaze his intellect because he seems borderline ******ed.

"Batman would win."

"Boy scout"

And yes, Superman has super intelligence. Yellow sunlight affects his brain so he remembers everything he has ever witnessed, studied, read, etc. he read an entire library of medical books in seconds and came to a hospital to do a procedure doctors couldn't. Super speed + super intelligence = advantage.

Supes is suppose to be the smartest person in DC but he's rarely written as that. It's sad really but on the flip side writer's had to ****** his powers to make anything compelling with him or ignore it for w/e story they're writing.

IF written to their powers and full potential and character Supes should till beat Batman. Him being a boyscout will keep him from killing Bruce not defeating him.

Also no damn Superman armor is stopping Superman, the same way the hulkbuster armor is only useful as long as the Hulk doesn't get angrier.

I dont have a problem with writer preference. Thus the quotes. Just saying you have a problem with writer preference.... unless it helps your point.

^Maybe superman will forget he has that power again. It seems like he forgets a lot of **** in his poorly written comic books

I have little problem with writer preference. I do, however, have a problem with it when it turns a great character into a stupid , government following, and naive dumb ***. That's the problem with TDKR. Superman is quite the opposite, he opposes rules often, he is intelligent beyond belief, and he isn't naive as ****. Notice I didn't say anything about bias when you brought up DOOM. Injustice bring both characters to their full power, which is why I am using it a an example. Superman has had everything taken from him, and he is angry. Batman has had his son killed, and the joker killed. When it shows superman and batmans full potential in comparison to each other of course it's going to look biased and that is because Superman is much greater than batman. Period.

I hate to participate in these type of discussions because I'm a Batman fan at heart, and no matter how many times comic book aficionados attempt to rationalize it, I can't imagine Batman ever beating Superman. I'm still of the mindset that Batman belongs in a world where he is battling street level villains/criminals, while Supes and Co. should take care of the extraterrestrial threats. But then I realize this is just a futile attempt to justify a comic book, and I say, the hell with it.

With that said, it's interesting how Snyder and Goyer will approach the film. Batman is seasoned and seems to be the more established crime fighter. Superman is the rookie. With the potential backlash after MoS, Superman may have to step back and revisit what he did. I always believed killing Zod was not a huge deal (in terms of how humans perceived it) because he was Kryptonian, but what if Clark was pushed to the brink by a human being (Lex or Bats)? How far would he go? I'm sure that would add an interest dynamic if he and Batman were to engage in battle.

She is not going to prove anybody wrong. She is going to be a piece of eye candy because DC is convinced that is what female superheroes should be reduced to. If she was going to be someone in need of an actress with talent they definitely would not have picked Gadot.

More rumors...

According to sources of both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, actor Jason Momoa has entered negotiations with Warner Bros. to join the growing cast of the Zack Snyder-directed Man of Steel follow-up, tentatively titled Batman Vs. Superman. As for who the 38-year-old Game of Thrones alum will portray, it's currently being kept under wraps. However, the sources suggests it's either the big bad Doomsday, or the Martian Manhunter, yet another charter member of Justice League.

Nah, nope....

Don't believe it.

The film being tentatively called Batman Vs Superman doesn't mean **** to me either.

This film is not gonna be about Superman and Batman shooting a fair one. There's going to be a true antagonist, we just don't know who or what yet.

Yeah they might be bickering, yeah they might have a squabble or two along the way but eventually this flick is about an older, seasoned Batman, utilizing his tech and experience to help Superman conquer a currently unknown main antagonist.

The battle has been done to exhaustion on comicvine, there's no scenario that batman defeats superman. None, zero, nada....Not even with prep time and kryptonite, Superman beats the **** out of Bats 100 out of 100 times (a weakened superman due to kryptonite exposure would still crush a mere human into dust).

As far as Doomsday goes, if it is Doomsday then the film would appropriately be called "The Death of Superman" because there's no way in HELL that Superman with just the help of Batman defeats Doomsday. Especially since Doomsday single handedly washed the entire Justice League like they were childs play and then went heads up with Superman and fought to a draw (they both "died").

Khal drogo would be a dope Kratos :pimp:

Anyways watching MOS now and no way in hell Bats can roll with Supes. Supes is a beast

This is from someone who loves Batman

I mean on one hand it's cool to hear a villain mentioned but if it's the Martian, this would be a completely new take on him if they're right. I don't see Momoa as J'onnz in previous iterations so even though it's another ally from the JL showing up in this it'd be cool.

I actually liked Jason Mamoa in that Bullet to the Head movie with Sly Stallone he would have been a good Drax. I'm not sure if they'd use him as Doomsday, cause that would probably be all CG or mo-cap, so that would be a waste of his physic, imo.

I'm definitely on board for Gal Gadot as WW, but I was watching Skyfall (the Bond flick) and I thought Berenice Marlohe would be an ideal WW. I don't know if she would have been able to hide her accent though. I'm bummed that she didn't blow up, unlike Olga Kurylenko who became quite recognizable in due time.
