DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

I believe they are filming or will start very soon, the release date was pushed back but not the filming schedule.

Cavill has been Detroit and he has been saying he'll be there for the next 10 months. Garner, Afflecks wife also stated she'll be in Detroit all summer to be with her husband.

Henry Cavill spotted near Detroit, will shoot ‘Batman vs. Superman’ for 10 months?

A lucky fan, Gjonnyboy as he goes by on the IMDb message boards, bumped into the Man of Steel himself last Friday night. Henry Cavill was at a bar called Imperial in Ferndale, Michigan with his trainer. Gjonnyboy spoke to Cavill, who assured him that everything was fine with Batman vs. Superman production, despite rumors that the delay meant something was terribly wrong.

MLive.com also talked to some people who were at Imperial that night with Cavill. According to their sources, Cavill is expected to be in Detroit for the next 10 months. That’s an awfully long time to shoot a movie — unless he’s also filming Justice League… back-to-back. Nothing is confirmed at this point, but that certainly adds some fuel to the fire.

‘Batman vs. Superman’ production has not been delayed, reports Deadline

Last week Warner Bros. announced that Batman vs. Superman’s release date was pushed back to May 6th 2016. They said that Zack Snyder and crew needed more time to “realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story”. Because of this, Warner Bros. also announced that Batman vs. Superman production would be pushed back to the second quarter of the year — April/May.

Well now the always reliable Deadline reports that Ben Affleck had to drop out of a directing gig because Batman vs. Superman production has not been delayed, and he and the other main actors are needed to start working on it right away. Filming was originally going to start in February, and it sounds like that may not change now.

Jennifer Garner Confirms Ben Affleck Will Start Shooting Batman Vs Superman In Detroit This Summer

The actress confirms the family will be relocating to the city

The actress was talking to Detroit Sports 105 earlier this week to promote her new movie Draft Day, when she explained that the couple will be relocating to the city later this year while filming takes place. "I'll be there this summer," she said.

"Yep, all summer. My husband is [filming in Detroit]. Batman is shooting and… or whatever it's called. I don't know what it's called… Superman with Batman, whatever it is. But he is shooting this summer, so we'll be there."

the first two say production not delayed. Garner is saying summer. :nerd:

Ohh well I'll take your word for it. This movie is going to suck anyway and the sooner they finish filming the sooner they can look at the reels and say to themselves "What the **** were we thinking" assuming these rumors are true.

And I was looking forward to semi-retired, drone controlling batman, but these last few announcements.... :smh:

As others have said, this film could be really great or really terrible. I hope they go the World's Finest STAS/BTAS route where neither guy really likes the other.

Garner saying going to Detroit for the summer could just means they'll spend the summer there with Affleck, doesn't confirm if Affleck will start filming at that time or if it is the tail end. It could be the middle of production and they'll just go there once summer starts when their kids are off school?

News report on this film are really all over the place so it's very difficult to keep up.

I'm more than positive that they will let out false rumors, fake pics, all sorts of stuff to keep everything "quiet" as long as they possibly can.

And shooting now (summer) gives them a TON of time to make damn sure the movie is clean, clear, and well done before the release date. Reshoots, touch ups, add/delete stuff, all of it.

And then , when you consider Paul Walker and Philip Seymour, the longer you wait for something, the more chance for random bad happenings to take place. Hell, they barely got by with Ledger.

Sad, but I honestly think Hollywood going to start stressing over shooting schedules because of things like that. Someone signs up for a billion dollar potential movie and then something bad happens, studios get left holding the bag. So why wait til the end of this year, or early next year to film and risk something happening? Get as much done as possible, early, and pray it all works out while also allowing yourself the time to cut it right and get it screened to the right people, etc.

IDK why this is so funny. I fully agree. After the Wolf of Wall Street performance, where his salary was only 60k, he actually boosted his career and became friends with Leonardo Dicaprio. He is actually starring in another serious toned movie. Forgot what it is called but Leo's company is producing it.

His performance in not so recent movies is far better than his performance in that one movie where they are video game devs and he is morbidly obese. This guy keeps getting better imo with the exception of get him to the greek, but that was only because of the type of character he had to play.

Poker face.

He must have known he was at least in the running, interview from a couple of months ago...

I didn't think he was black in the cartoon either. Just looked like billy zane who took a beach vacation.

Lex Luthor was black in the animated series? :nerd:

I always thought he was tanned :nerd:

No, he was just very tan. Italian looking if anything.

Negro said Italian looking
There's an Italian actor that looks just like this without the skin tone but has hair. He's in a lot of mob movies.

Yup, dude is just in denial he's been thinking he was black since he was a kid.
Don't get me wrong, at one point I thought he might be black but you watch enough eps to tell he's not drawn that way. With that nose you could also argue Lex is of middle eastern descent.

This is a typical NTer response. Overreacting to the max. You gonna compare a thread dealing with racism to a damn fictional comic book character and what race he looks like while adding in dumb things NTers like to troll with like Miley Cyrus being a 10 and Gucci Mane being a legend.

I think you're taking this way too seriously.

At least we know you think google is the authority on what cartoon characters are black and who isn't.
