Maybe it's not that Ben would be underneath the cowl. But what he does with it that defines him.

The problem wasn't Ben as Daredevil, it was the entire movie.
I like Bale as an actor, but he's not exactly Heath Ledger. I thought he was mediocre as Batman.
Ben is a good actor and will do fine as Batman.
All this outrage and fanboyism over nothing.

Yeah people weren't exactly geeked about Bale's BW/ Batman. They talked about everything else in the trilogy except him.

It's just too soon. I don't think the complaints would be as loud if the last batman was 5 or 6 years ago but we were just watching batman LAST YEAR. Bale's performance is too imprinted on our minds. I feel like Affleck will put in a lot of work into this role and ultimately turn out to be really good but why would you try and put all this batman drama on a SUPERMAN SEQUEL

WB/ DC want to keep the ball rolling. Even if the movie is a dud they will make bank.

Pointy ears are good conceptually, but Affleck has a big head, it might look too "Halloweenish" potentially. Plus he's tall so we'll just have to see how that goes. Given his body type, grey might be a good choice in suit. I'm willing to give him a chance, but the real reason why I'm apprehensive about it is that known commodities that play these roles generally don't do well. It's usually these roles given to little known actors is what makes them into known commodities as actors. Idk, I'll reserve judgement, but there should be a lego batman button or something just in case.

And like the article RFX posted, how ironic is it that last they they were linking Ben to the JLA project as a director, and now here he is right in the middle of the universe, in a different capacity?
Oh, and now we have those that claim Nolan's trilogy wasn't even all that.
Bottom line, people are going to complain about everything, 2 years before the movies even come out. Movie after movie its like that.

Since Affleck has started training, it would be kind of dope if he and Cavil train together and create some sort of dynamic that could possibly carry over into filming.

I think Affleck was a great choice for batman. He's a bit too tall and his look isn't that of a bruce wayne type but with that said I think this movie has hope now.
Affleck imo is a great actor. He can pull this off. If done right people will be complaining that Batman should have had more shine in this movie.

I don't think his big head will matter. It's up to the costume/prop department to figure it out. My question is will they adapt Nolans batsuit into the new one though? Because I think head turning is essential in a bat film these days.

Taking a mental note of all you doubters that will slurp on his scrotum when he blows this one out the park, the script for daredevil was what sucked the life out that film, people tend to get confused and blame the protagonist....I **** with Affleck....specially now that he's matured more...think about what superhero movie wasn't a bit cheesy and corny 10 years ago...people just been spoiled by one performance, Heath's not even Bale, he was a good Batman and would have loved to see him again, but I think Affleck will do his thing

What we need to know is who Lex or the villain will be.
