DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Wow

They played chicken with Marvel and DC folded like lawn chairs.

Good for them though, they don't need anything else hurting their franchise.

 I can already tell how you're going to review this film and it won't be out for over 18 months. :smh:
I might not even watch if I don't hear good things from certain ppl who I know can be objective and if not I'll be waiting for it to end up on cable

Don't know what you can get from that post thought as far as reviewing the movie. It directly addresses all the ppl saying Marvel would move Cap 3 off that date cuz they didn't want it with Batman vs. Superman  Now DC switches up and moves their date a 2nd time

Like I said though, I hope the movie is good. It's just cool to see DC/WB accepting 2nd place to Marvel.

    at what Sam Jackson said.
He actually nicely summed up ppl's complaints about Marvel not having the best villains since they focus on heroes and recently DC's main draw was Joker and then Bane (can't tell me that Batman was compelling  ) while ppl complain about their heroes you know killing or doing illogical stupid ****.

We can argue about it all day but do people really think Captain America 3 would've outdone DOJ if they came out on the same day?

What movie right now is more anticipated then this? Moving it to March just gives them the weekend to themselves.

Avengers is easily more anticipated right now. Marvel just put out a film about a tree that can barely talk while the ****** at WB/DC are saying WW too confusing for their audience.

why share a weekend box office when you can have it to yourself. its dollars in the end. even if marvel knew whatever movie was superior to bvs and they came out the same day, why would they open the same week and lose money.

Questions DC should've asked before this high stakes game of Chicken they started. Any ridicule they get is on them.

So Batman had been working for 30 years and still is an urban legend? 30 years of beating up crooks, foiling crimes (and probably not minor crimes too), etc? After seeing Lois Lane travel the world to find this mysterious guy and finding him, I doubt he could have stayed a urban legend for 30 years. 5 at the most man.

They are trying too hard to make this a Dark Knight Returns movie....

I wish they would've done pre new-52 style..... It could've worked with Ben he was 35 before they rebooted the universe....

There's a link on RT.com titled, "Zack Snyder Daydreams About Directing The Dark Knight Returns" back in January of 2009. The link to Collider looks to be dead, but you get the point. Frank Miller even gave Zack his blessing to direct an adaptation of TDKR.

So yeah, Zack's been waiting for this for a good while. Thinking back, I'm surprised he didn't put a Batman appearance at the end of MoS.

WB Pres. Explains 'Batman v. Superman' Move, Says 'Justice League' Will Come Soon After

Warner Bros. threw a massive cinematic Batsignal into the sky. Not only did they shift "Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice" ahead to March 25, 2016, and away from "Captain America 3," but they they also unveiled an ambitious slate of superhero movie dates through 2020. You can bet that if they weren't before, Marvel is looking over their shoulder. And while it was inevitable someone would blink when 'Batman' and 'Captain' were both scheduled on the same date, WB president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman explains the studio's strategic move to spring.

Damn Snyder is really striking me as a loser now with all use DC heroes/SW pics.

Disney/LucasFilms don't want you directing any of their SW films bro. Stick to mucking up DC.

Actually that is JJ Abrams twitter, pretty much him playing along with Snyder unless there is something more but I think both are just having fun.

Listening to a podcast, and I haven't realized that there's 30 Marvel and DC films coming out in the next 6 years. Group that in with Star Wars, and the other sci-fi ****, with video game films knocking on the door, there's not gonna be much room for other B.S that we're getting. There's no more room for the ASM2's (as much as I love that film, it just didn't stand up to DOFP and Cap 2). If BVS is great, I think we can coin the period from Cap 2 till now as the Golden Age of comic book movies in my opinion. The best part is that everything is getting started.

There will definitely be a point where the summer will be filled with movies and competition with get stiffer by the week. DC, Marvel/Disney, SW, Fox, Sony and Legendary alone will have you going to the theaters every week in the summer and holidays and that doesn't include comedies, animations and other sci-fi films (the likes of Interstellar) as you said plus book adaptations like Hunger Games and Harry Potter and live-action adaptation of classic fantasy stories.

I wanted to update that schedule for Dc and Marvel I made to include Fox and Sony but their schedules are too erratic and unsure at this point.

I believe eventually we'll see these films are year around, starting from March. We're starting to see that the months don't matter much in which they're released.
