DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Aside from the tattoos....I can dig.

One thing's for sure though... all these cosplay dudes are gonna have a nightmare having to painstakingly re-create and paint those tats on

Those guys are committed. They'll probably enjoy transforming. I'm lazy as hell. I'll buy some black clothes and a du-rag to dress up as netflix daredevil, probably one of the easiest cosplays to do right now.

Did people not like ledger because they thought he was an ok actor or because he was in brokeback mountain?

Because his resume before TDK wasn't really impressive. Brokeback also factored in, even though it shouldn't have.

leto will be very good. like uncomfortably great. im imagining like if joker was in sin city.

lets not forget how good heath was and before joker he was basically...

Honestly, I'm starting to think that the team producing/writing the movie didnt have enough time focusing on what the joker character stands for, rather they are inclined to use a character and history to begin developing their own world.

DC not having time to introduce characters and playing catch up leads to characters that aren't artistically explored. I'm mean the Joker with considered and some what refined tattoos?! He is suppose to be the great psychopathic manipulator, with an obsessive relationship toward the Bats?

This Joker seems more like a self discerning individual who gets off to the idea of his own game. Personally that feels like a very limiting perspective toward the character. It could work for them since they have so many personalities to deal with, but the idea, that most of us grown up with, of the Joker being the antithesis of Bats doesn't seem possible, in this film at least...

unless the Joker character has an M Night Shyamalan twist comin.

With that being said, I think Leto will do a great job.

BTW, just caught the ending of TDK on TBS. Say what you will about the length of the film (and/or third act), but the Bats/Gordon speech in the end is one of the best wrap ups I've ever seen in a movie. Just perfect. Batman becomes a fugitive but realizes that he needs to continue his war on crime. Gordon truly becomes his only ally. Not this damn, "lets erect a statue in his honor and have another kid become Batman." Damn shame they didn't stop it as a duology. End rant.

That damaged tat makes him look like an emo *****.

Shoulda just said "insane" or "loco" paying homage to cesar romero

But would that "transition" include tattoo removal?

And I know people are already getting sick of the comparisons, but what I liked about the TDK Joker is that he was fully formed when he was introduced. No one knew his origin and he would only tease his upbringing. Since Suicide Squad is an ensemble, I really hope they don't go into a Joker back story.

I just wished he had eyebrows to add to the signature smile. But, as other had said, peformance will matter more than anything.

It was a great ending. The dialogue between Bruce/Alfred/Gordon was always appreciated. TDKR was Nolan just collecting a check. I hated that film so much.

Dude training so hard and long to become Batman, only to quit after like what? A year and a half?
