DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

It is. I dont ever see any dc fan boys crapping on the avengers parade in the avenger thread lol

Man, we get criticism of Marvel property all the time from our own fans.

People slandering Arrow or Amell in this thread = the kind of slander that GotG or Hawkeye or ASM gets in ours

It's just people having opinions

Dude actin like everything Marvel makes is praised by the people in the thread. Don't be mad at us breh, be mad at DC.

Also, that was just one guy who said that. Outside of that, how often is Marvel even mentioned in here?

Really you had to say the worst DC movie. The Dark Knight >>>>>>>>>anything Marvel has done

I'm not a fanboy for either side but this is complete fact. If it wasn't for that movie comic book movies would still be a campy joke. Prior to this movie the bar was set incredibly low

Yeah that's not true. The whole lets be dark and gritty fad is done with, and didn't even last that long. Everybody is on the shared universe model started by ya'll know who. Prior to that, the bar was just being raised with IM1.

Oh and outside of the performances, specifically Heaths, movie was overrated. Not a fanboy. I'm a Spidey fan first. I have no allegiance with either company.

It's different strokes for different folks.

Never been much of a fan of ultra realistic and dark comic book movies. Which is why with DC I've gravitated more towards Flash than Arrow.

I think DC wants to do it Marvel's way but they just don't know how to do it. They tried it once with Green Lantern and bombed. So from how it sounds, they look like they might stick with what they know, ej. no joke rule, advertising 'edginess', lots of angst, etc.

Im1 is better than tdk? As far as I see it tdk is still the benchmark for comic book movies. It wasn't about the dark phase, I'm talking about making an overall good movie.

The same universe thing took a while to build steam. The incredible hulk did it and nobody really cared.

Honestly go down the line, marvel movies have not been THAT good outside of im1, gotg, cap2 and avengers.

Movie for movie the ratio of good and meh movies between dc and marvel are pretty equal. I'm not talking about money made either. Asm1 and 2 banked but sucked.

All my opinion but I stand by it

Has their not been a teaser for that film yet. I know it's not out till next year, but shouldn't at least have that?

I would say blade started the dark and gritty stuff. Blade is one of my all
Time favs

Nowadays studios are to concerned with revenue than to make a comic book movie rated r as most should be

TIH sucked (imo), but that came out after IM1. Overall, IM1 was a great movie. Like I said, outside of the Joker, the movie gets three much cred. Only watch that film to await his scenes.

I'm actually a big fan of the realistic grim dark for movies as long as it's good. Fad or no fad.

Thing is if it's a crap movie it's a crap movie. DC overall isn't that good at it. Makes no sense to apply such realism to all of your properties. Thinking you're forced to do that when you do a shared universe is dumb. They were fine when they did it for Batman and had Superman in separate continuity that was light but then they showed they didn't know what to do with Returns. So they just doubled down on Bat films with success by Nolan. That approach obviously works with Batman going off the comics but fails with most of these other properties. Namely MOS.

Now it's more of the same. Seems all of this DCCU is going to be that way just going off this drab look Snyder loves  :smh:

I don't like how dc is making the movie costumes dark shades of their original colors. I'd rather wear some red than ugly maroon.

Low key this is the truth.

The Joker made TDK as great as it is. He makes you want to watch with every scene he is in. He is the compelling character throughout while everyone just reacts. He makes the film great.

I won't bother to reiterate my problems with the Nolan Batman :smh: :x

TDK is the benchmark for me also. DC animated movies have been killing it also.
