What's Supes deal with the clone other than Supes being a *****?
He wasn't cool w/ having a super kid sprung on him so he went the deadbeat dad route

Who or what role do you guys think Scoot McNairy will be playing? I could think his legs be cgi'd to reveal he is Metallo? A clone going haywire and his transformation starts with his feet? Some are guessing Flash but I am not so sure, they'd cgi his calves moving fast?

I bet Superman is forced to rip off his legs in another "no win situation".

Frank Miller interview with playboy, talks about his Batman portrayed in film and how Nolan's version is incomprehensible to him:

MILLER: When people come out with movies about characters I’ve worked on, I always hate them. I have my own ideas about what the characters are like. I mean, I can’t watch a Batman movie. I’ve seen pieces of them, but I generally think, No, that’s not him. And I walk out of the theater before it’s over.

PLAYBOY: Does that include the Christopher Nolan Batman movies?

MILLER: It includes all of them. I’m not condemning what he does. I don’t even understand it, except that he seems to think he owns the title Dark Knight. [laughs] He’s about 20 years too late for that. It’s been used.

Umm.. Miller does know that the moniker, "Dark Knight" predates him by 40+ years, right?

There are many legitimate reasons for not liking Nolan's trilogy, but titling the second and third installments with "The Dark Knight" is not one them.

That's not what Miler said. He didn't actually get in to why he doesn't like Nolan's version. He did mention how he really tried to bank off of the Dark Knight moniker.

Yes, the moniker existed before Miller but it was inconsequential until Miller rebooted Batman in his vision with TDKR and Batman Year One which everybody has been copying and riffing off of since.

I understand he made very popular titles(Year one and Returns)he acts like he owns batman or the dark knight name. Nolan made batman even more popular with those Flims.
He doesn't own it. He's just not being modest about the fact that the Batman everybody knows today that's so popular and iconic is based off of his run and his interpretation of the character so in that sense there is some ownership. Damn near every writer in different mediums are channeling Frank Miller's Batman when they write Batman stories.

Batman was already insanely popular. All Nolan did was add some good movies to the list of reasons why Batman is popular.

I can't begrudge dude if he wants to comment on ppl's take of his version of Batman and besides it's not like he really went in on Nolan for the trilogy. All he commented on was Nolan's use of the Dark Knight moniker for some more prestige or gravitas if you will given the weight the name carries cuz of Miller's books.

To me and some can come at me but Millers Batman work is wack.

What saved his uninspired and unfinished All Star Batman was Jim Lees legendary work.

That's cool to have that opinion. I don't enjoy all his work either. Don't change the fact that he created the definitive take on Batman.

I mean you got golden age Batman that wasn't that good or original and is questionable if it was just slightly copied from the Black Bat anyway that carried a gun and killed cuz it fit for the time and then you have silver age Batman which is silver age and arguably worse than silver age superman. It's really West's Batman. Then you have what Miller did, which was successful and groundbreaking at the time and everybody copied it and has found some success with it. Same thing he did with Daredevil around a time where really only Alan Moore was pushing the envelope in the same way.

What has Nolan done to think he "owns" it?  Did he trademark it or something?

Is there a DC Movies thread on NT already? I'm already assuming this one is haha

Rock on the Shazam movie:
In yet another interview with a Brazilian website, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has talked more about taking on a role in Shazam  for Warner Bros. and DC Comics. Unfortunately, we're once again relying on Google Translate, but it's not too hard to figure out what the wrestler turned actor told Omelette  when they caught up with him during his recent promotional tour for Hercules"My trip to Comic-Con was a surprise, so I called personally to executives at New Line and Warner Bros. to see if they would like to announce Shazam me there. Unfortunately, it was not time yet, but the official announcement should happen soon." Of course, we're hearing an awful lot of talk about Shazam and not much else as of right now, so is it ever really going to happen?

"I am 100% sure that the movie will happen We're talking about it since 2008, when I was offered the role for the first time was just a matter of finding the right script, and it finally happened now,"
Johnson promised. "We have a writer who understood the story and brought an amazing approach not only to Shazam, but the power of Black Adam as well." Here's where things get a little confusing though. After reiterating that Johnson has not yet chosen between playing the hero or villain, they add that Johnson, "concluded by suggesting that the film will seek a kind of balance between these two antagonistic characters," and that "the film will be part of the ad leads to adaptations of superheroes from DC, which should happen soon." It's believed that an official announcement WILL be coming later this month, and with The Rock talking so much about the role recently, hopefully we'll get that press release ASAP...

Some Justice League rumors as well
Badass Digest  have been dropping a lot of superhero and Star Wars  scoops recently, perhaps in a bid to give Latino-Review a run for their money. Either way, their report on Scoot McNairy and his snazzy green CGI socks offers up some possible details on the members of the Justice League who we will see assemble in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The site can't confirm either way whether the Argo star will indeed be playing Barry Allen (or even Wally West as Barry currently has his own TV series), but their sources apparently tell them that The Flash will indeed make an appearance in the movie, and that, "by the end of the movie we have a Justice League assembled that includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash." Wait a second, what about Green Lantern? His 2011 movie may have been a flop, but fans are expecting to see one of the ring wielders make an appearance in  Batman V Superman  or Justice League. Well, according to those same sources, we won't see a Green Lantern until Zack Snyder's Justice League, while that is a little disappointing, it's likely because they want to spend a decent amount of time reintroducing the character. What do you guys think?

Meh, as unrealistic as it may look superman should look ridiculously jacked. Same with all the other heroes.

Why was the suit so dark though? It's not just Snyder's style cuz he had a bright *** Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen and other colors.

Reminds me of the bland colors of Returns.
