DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Also seen and confirmed: Robin suit hanging in Batcave with the words “Joke’s on you, Batman” We are in a world where a Robin is dead.
I'm guessing that that's Jason Todd and he's dead for reals. Because Red Hood would never work because every movie goer would know who it is already

Would've been cool to see Red Hood's violent self in a movie.

It could happen in the solo film, he can probably co feature with Joker.

not trying to derail this thread but you didn't like Cap 2?

I honestly don't even consider Cap 2 a Marvel film.

It's a standalone great film that just happens to have Marvel characters.
lolwut?

I think that makes it better. It's a self contained story that's tonally different than basically all the other films but still fits into the continuity.

Russo's are the best filmmakers Marvel has ever hired so imo moving forward things should be a lot more coherent

What interests me the most is the differences in world building... Marvel is all about delaying gratification while DC is giving you EVERYTHING at once then doing whatever after the fact. It's hard to say what's best because DC has just started but imo it's going to be refreshing to get the major thing out of the way in the beginning instead of waiting years & years for it

Info on the robin/Jason Todd suit?

Twitters going crazy over that..

And also, is joker supposed to make a cameo in this? And also aqua man?

It seems like in this version, it's **** who gets killed by the joker, since I don't remember any of the other robins using a staff

You're thinking of Tim, not **** (stupid censor)
You sure. I thought Richard is the one who uses a staff mainly for fighting. At least that's how it was in the cartoons. But I think Tim uses it in the arkhan games, but I doubt that's canon

All I know is DC is going balls out @ comic con this year, I'm starting to think Marvel under estimated them by not even having a panel for CW there...showing some spider footage would have buffered the hype train DC is building now with not a single Person to oppose them

DC needed this more than Marvel though. A great showing for sure, but they needed to impress.

Grayson uses batons (which are electrified at times), well Nightwing does. As a Teen Titan, I do believe he used a staff but I am not sure if that was Tim or Grayson in the cartoons.

since Disney now owns them, I think they're just going to incorporate them into D23 which is next month

I thought he uses them as Nightwing but not as robin

Yah don't think he really used a weapon when he ran around with Bats.

Marvel doesn't need comic con Lol.

It's nice that the BvS trailer looks good. Tbh Marvel needs a little push from the competition.

Tim Drake uses a staff. **** Grayson uses escrima sticks but only after he became Nightwing.

In the Teen Titans cartoon Robin was Grayson but they took cues from Tim including the costume, staff, and serious brooding personality

believe it or not, DC is still playing catch up. Marvel is going to wait for next month to make all their announcements

They have a lot of CW already filmed but Dr.Strange is about to begin production and they're still casting just about every other film... They have plenty of time. I think letting something like BvS breathe and not going tit for tat is beneficial for both sides
