DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

I like how bruce is sounding a little crazy and eccentric. Saying superman has the potential to be a big problem / threat even though he just saved the world.

I like the direction they went with this. To superman, he did save the world, but from the outside looking in, two aliens show up and all of a sudden thousands of people die. Now one of the alien goes into hiding. Instead of going the superman is the nicest man in the world they kinda flip the story. Nice realistic touch

I hope they give him a little bit of an alpha personality. Like him show some annoyance with people doubting him.

I'm a fan of the personality of Superman from JL Gods & Monsters from the short clip that's available. Dude seems like he gives no dambs and it's kind of cool to see on an alternate Superman character.

That's always the beginning of their relationship.

And then Bruce realizes that Clark is just a guy from Kansas trying to do the right thing and they become besties

They'll be hugging by the end :pimp:

Felt the same at first, but based on some other things in the trailer it honestly looks like Bruce is suffering from some serious menatl issues; possible hallucinations. Which of course would explain him sounding somewhat "crazy", like a fanatic.

Probably too many hits to the head and brain damage. No nfl concussion protocol for him. Alfred needs to make his own protocol.

That latest trailer

And as for Batman seeming a bit off his rocker, Snyder said this about him:
However, director Zack Snyder convinced Affleck that he had a totally new vision for Bruce Wayne: “He’s at the end of his rope. He’s older; he’s burned out.” And, Snyder told Affleck, “you’re perfect for it.”
Cant wait.

one of the things i really, really like about this film

I think Bruce feels so strongly against what Superman represents that he's willing to essentially die if it means stopping him... idk just something i got from the tone of his angry stares

Digging Brucefleck completely but I'm trying to figure out how an older, end of his rope, DKR Bruce Wayne will fit into later movie installments especially since the threats are just beginning

They don't need to take place years apart. I don't think it changes anything really. Could also explaine his paranoia ........... bring up his contingency plans :nerd:

He'll be the strategist. Probably the one involved in the least amount of action out of everyone in the JL. Hopefully they rely on his detective skills and intellect more

Plus maybe this invigorates him, burned out could just mean he was tired of doing it like he lost his fire for it, this might bring him back.

In the end though, that might be how Snyder sold it to Affleck but it could all change by the time the solo film comes out.

X-Men universe alone >>> most of DC

Nah. Marvel had to get Wolfman and Perez' characters to cross over with them in the 80s because DC's sidekicks created in the 40s-60s and new introductions like Cyborg and Starfire were rivaling multiple newly-introduced X-Men in the sales department
No they didn't.

Stop lying

Any Marvel and DC crossover is beneficial to both companies. Marvel didnt have to get anybody for anything. Plus it's insane you're trying to bring up the Teen Titans of all properties when it was the X-Men franchise that skyrocketed in success the rest of the 80s and 90s.

Pretty impressed with the trailer, but that's not the hard part. I'm not being overly critical because I thought MOS had a lot of good things in the movie, but they might not have all come together like they should have and how they could have. So that'll be my initial concern with this movie as well. We see the great action set pieces, the iconic images and callbacks to the comics, the important and interesting themes it could address... so now we just have to bring it all together.

The trailer looked great, did it's job and got my excited for the movie, so now I'm just ready for it to deliver.
