DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

ezra miller is the gay flash.
Just want to quote shogun here because he's most likely right.

Zac Efron will probably be his love interest (Isaac West -- Iris West to Ezra's Barry Allen).

Still can't wrap my head around gay Flash

Barry Allen is the personification of conservative Middle America in the comics

Placing bets on that romantic Isaac West love admission and kiss scene when he saves him from Grodd :nerd:

Just look at the show. They make him take so many Ls and be close to a simp that if they revealed he was gay I wouldn't be surprised.

They take liberties with the Flash comic.

@KingdomFlatbush
-- can you elaborate on this?

I don't read the comics and always thought he was the joking around type while working as a cop. Or am I confusing him with Wally West?

Yeah, you're thinking of Wally West. Barry was a clumsy police scientist but otherwise was a wholesome American Pie type of dude before he died in the 80s. He's been modernized since his return, but a lot of the Wally West comics centered on how much of a paragon of values he was and Wally struggling to live up to that ideal.

Barry's comics had him based out of and growing up in Central City, which depending on the writer is located in Kansas, Ohio, or Missouri.

But like I said, Barry has been modernized since his return, but the wisecracking youthful Flash was always Wally West.

Gotcha. The only Flash I was familiar with was the one in the Justice League shows back in the day on Cartoon Network.

He seems very young. I also don't know him from any movie but the upcoming Force Awakens. I think he may have been on one of those movies like the Hunger Games. Maybe Maze Runner or one of those so I can't even tell if he's that good of an actor to helm a solo movie.

They'd be going for a much younger Jon Stewart with him though.

Also there seems to still be no plans for Martian Manhunter by WB/DC unfortunately. Not in the JL movie, no solo movie. Made me wonder they could even introduce him as a future semi-villain. If they got nothing for him I'd prefer he get an ambition tv show, put it on HBO.

only movie i ever seen john boyega in was attack the block and i found it weird british dudes tryna be hood

but hes part of the new star wars which probably means instant stardom and name recognition by the time gl jumps off

yea he would be a bit young for john stewart but tweaking the origin should be easy

I don't even remember him in attack the block. I was expecting that movie to be more entertaining.

he was the main dude of the movie that they drove off in the police van at the end lol

yea that movie was a let down. a hate crime on an alien was not my cup of tea

I think Daniels from The Wire would be a dope J'onn J'onzz.

DC/WB should of got Chadwick Boseman for John Stewart before Marvel cast him as BP. The only thing left is a hail Mary play for Idris. I'm starting to think they really cast Tyrese and just haven't said anything yet.

At the time WB/DC was still playing it safe and tentative about making commitments. Their roll out plan for these other solo movies are years away. After WW, seems Flash is the next big focus with the Bat and Supes solos on their own timeline.

Probably taking it a movie or two at a time. They failed so badly with GL they're in no rush with the remake. They've seem more excited about stuff they haven't tried before like WW and Shazam.
