I don't see why Lex Luthor has to be in the same age range as Batman or Superman at all. We just got done talking about the different versions of Lex a while back when talking about Eisenberg playing an obviously younger Lex.

I mean OG Lex was way older than Superman in the comics and was played by Gene Hackman in the movies. That was Reeves in his 30s against Hackman in his 40s or 50s.

All I can say is ok.

I'm looking at Snyder's filmography who has ever been brilliant under his direction. Then I remind myself on top of that this is a Goyer script. Add in this trailer. Either yall will be let down or will be forcing it to take for Jesse.

I think Chris Terrio re-wrote it.

I would've preferred he scrapped it.

Goyer stank aint good for most movies especially as time goes on.

He's going to continue to cash checks after co-writing TDK.

Unless Nolan is involved don't expect much.

Anyway, what is amazing is that this movie has been in production since 2013 right? Damn shame that it looks like it's going to disappoint.

WB know they have a dud on their hands. That's why it is being released in MARCH

It's funny about that. They been filmed it, had w/e extra scenes shot and the movie was suppose to come out this year but they aint want to go up against Age of Ultron (after seeing the movie they probably could've beat it out just off of the name recognition of Bats and Supes) but they chickened out and pushed it back to before Civil War.

It's w/e though. I actually think Suicide Squad is gonna be the real dud.

Batffleck will have a better chance of having Cranston be the new Commissioner Gordon when he starts doing solo Batman movies.

I think that's partly where the rumors of this being the son of Lex, possibly a Jr.

Rumors are rumors though, don't invest too much into that..would be dope of Cranston came out as Sr tho

Im assuming a lot of you guys keep mentioning these older guys because you're going off of how lex has been portrayed in past movies.
I think Jesse presents an interesting foil for Henry cavil's superman and will allow him to play the role the way lex has been portrayed in the comics more recently .
Jesse and Henry are both the same age in real life, so I'm assuming lex and Clark will be too. The lex Luther of late his obsessed with superman , envious to the point where he wants to be him. He pushes his body to the limits of perfection because he is always trying to attain what superman has. It's not enough for him to be rich and powerful, which is what Hackman and Spacey's characters seemed concerned about. lex wants to BE superman, but for obvious reasons can't be.
The fact that eisenberg and Cavill are opposites in every way visually will be interesting. Hopefully they allow eisenberg to grow into the role.

Best Lex Luthor performance in my opinion has been Michael Rosenbaum from Smallville. Not sold on Eisenberg, but i'm willing to watch the film before fully passing judgement.

Even if we're keeping it to a concept of Lex and Clark being around the same ag (which is interesting, I won't deny since I've seen it before), I'll say this right now without even watching this movie;
