DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Look, you know I am the biggest fan of this movie but even I would put it being good up in the air.

But you really got to be insane to think the movie will flop. I can see this film making $1b if the film is mediocre at best, even more if the movie exceeds peoples low expectations.

Nah man I get what you're saying, but FLOP means it doesn't turn a profit. I don't see that happening no matter what.

More kids watch these movies than adults. Those kids don't care for story, they just want to see the characters on screen. Those kids don't care for reviews and such, they'll watch regardless.

This being a good movie is just extra as far as the studio is concerned

Yeah man

I think the movie will be AMAZING! But I don't use that word like y'all do. To me it means it will flop. But I don't use that word like y'all do.......

You just described the Transformers movies perfectly. Or any other of these poor adaptations of comics and/or cartoons.

Anywho, this movie has potential to swing either way as far and being good or bad. I don't like the casting so far so that kinda kills it for me. As far as story they both cannot share the screen and do them both justice. One of them needs to be the star while the other plays wingman.

What will make this movie break box office is how good it is though because those adults will see the film 4-5 times if it is good. If the movie is bad to mediocre, then WB/DC only gets one ticket sale from them.

The movie is still going to have Batman and Superman in the same screen so that alone will get peoples butts to the seats. I mean this has been a dream coming true 70+ years in the making but to really make money and hit that #1 spot, the movie has to be really good, doesn't even have to be TDK good, story just have to be above average good because we know there isn't going to be a shortage of action with Snyder directing.

This'll be #1 regardless UNLESS, it's sooooooooooo bad it's ridiculous. In talking batman and robin bad. I don't see that he happening though.

However man of steel did, it can't do any worse IMO. That's had pretty mixed reviews. I personally thought it was a 6/10

I don't know, if the movie is mediocre, I don't know if it can beat Avengers or Avatar numbers. That's a tough task especially with domestic numbers declining year after year.

Then again I guessed Avengers hitting $800-$900m and wouldn't have guessed it would cross the billion mark so I could be completely off base here, I wish I am completely off base here and this is a gigantic success.
