DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

The difference is that Avengers was a masterpiece of superhero fiction and MOS was kinda enjoyable at best

wouldn't call the avengers a masterpiece, i think what got everyone hyped was the fact, that for the first time we were going to see these characters done right for the first time in live action, with the right effects and a massive story in place. I want to root for BVS and i have been, but even the most hardcore fans have to admit that they have made some very questionable moves, and they arent really trying to "push" the things that people have issues with. I'm glad they finally unveiled wonder woman but i would've loved to see eisenberg as luthor or even come out in full luthor character a'la loki to intoduce the clip. I feel like i'm just settling into this new superman now i have to get adjusted to this new batman AND wonder woman in the NEXT film.....then the stand alones come....just doesn't seem right.

the only thing i have complete faith is the look of this film, snyder's eye is perfect i feel for this

That's not what you said.

You said Superman killing Zod and saving mankind meant nothing.

So please save it. You went to a complete extreme and then tried to minimize what it meant.

Nothing was too strong a word. I just meant that Superman killing Zod/saving the planet doesn't necessarily mean he's a good guy or that he's not a threat to earth.

Superman was also the reason they came. He saved humanity from a threat he basically caused. If I were WW, I'd still be worried or skeptical.

While I'm sure the narrative Lex Luthor will be taking is that Superman is a dangerous alien hiding amongst humanity and caused the destruction of Metropolis and many ppl buying in to it is a very probable storyline for this movie I don't see it being applied to Wonder Woman, especially when a similar thought process will be Batman's agenda since he'll be suspicious of Supes as well and want to check dude out for himself.

It doesn't make sense to me then to also add in WW thinking similarly when we'll see two different versions of it. I don't think there's a 3rd take on I don't trust Superman cuz he's dangerous especially coming from WW. Now if they completely change the character and the writing is that repetitively contrived sure it could happen but as far as having hope for the movie i'd put bets on WW wanting to seek out Supes to team up more than her wanting to see if he's a thread to humanity when she's one herself and isn't apart of humanity but a sort of demigod warrior princess.

What caused this?

World's finest ruckus, War suit Lex ...or something else?

And in other news...

Alfred was just portrayed as evil in the most recent Forever Evil arc and killed Thomas Wayne Jr's parents himself and turned the kid into Owlman.

I love Batman's alternate timeline/Elseworld's stories. Gotham by Gaslight is a classic, IMO. I even really liked the Flashpoint Paradox where Thomas Wayne became Bats. If anyone can put me on some other similar Batman storylines I'm willing to check them out.
