I'm kinda shocked by the tone and feel of the 'first look'

I'd still watch. I have a high tolerance for chick flicks.

But yea, still shocked. I was thinking the tone was going to be more long the lines of a gritty police procedural mixed in with superhero theatrics.

CBS committed a full season order to this before a single episode dropped so they have to be pretty confident that it'll do well.

Maybe gritty is the wrong word. Just you know, something like those detective/cop/lawyer reruns on tnt that I never watch but with superheroes mixed in.

HOT RUMOR! Sources are telling me that Jared Leto is going all out for his portrayal of the Joker in Suicide Squad & that he is staying in character behind the scenes on set. I'm also told his performance will rival if not surpass Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker.

Like what were you guys expecting? ... already knew this was gonna be awful, teeny bop mush.

How was this green-lit, yet the WW series w/ Adrianne Palicki and Elizabeth Hurley was not?

Because WW was even worse! 

Hands down the single worst episode of a TV show I have ever seen in my life.

I don't believe in it seeing how the target audience for this show is comic fans period. I don't see why people believe this is specifically targeted for females when that is an audience that hasn't even been fully tapped yet. I don't believe this looks the way it looks because it's targeted to females. It looks bad because it looks bad, not because it isn't targeted towards me. This looks like a comic show I expect like 10 years ago.

the first 2 minutes are pretty awful imo but it gets better as it goes on. they should've cut out that part with krypton in the opening. it looked so bad

This show is clearly meant to target women in a younger age demographic. You saying it isn't an audience that hasn't been tapped yet is the exact  reason this show is targeting them... to tap and untapped market.

It just so happens that it looks rough from this first look. No one is saying that you can't like a show if you're not in the target audience, but they exist and this show from the first look is clearly more geared towards younger women. On top of that, they just went about it poorly.. as it looks like every other cliched "young girl finding her way" show from the first couple of minutes. But they could adjust as they go along so who knows.

Yea, you're allowed to like things even if you're not the target. Doesn't stop shows from keying certain demos.

The show is clearly feminist. And that's OK.

The trailer is growing on me. I'm going to show this to my sister. I suspect she will be super excited lol

It might help to just combine all the DC shows in one thread though at least for the CW shows like Flash, Arrow and LoT?
