DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Marvel doesn't need comic con Lol.

It's nice that the BvS trailer looks good. Tbh Marvel needs a little push from the competition.

This man knows.

Feign needs to realize we need some dark movies as well as some light ones. Can't be too cartoons all the time.

Lot of Marvel damage control happening too

Right now? Like what?

We start reaching over to the other side of rational thinking once we start suggesting that they're intentionally making a character look lame in hopes of surprising them in the theater.

Marvel is ahead of DC in the money department, we get that, but marvel isn't head and shoulders above ANYONE in terms of quality. The batman trilogy is still better than anything marvel has put out by FAR in terms of quality

It's interesting seeing stuff like Xenophobia being associated with Batman..

Affleck is a legit movie star now too :smokin ... I've watched the trailer a few times now and imagining anyone else playing this part seems like a letdown

I believe in him anchoring these films because he's easily the best actor they're gonna cast in a leading role moving forward.

that series isn't DCCU so it's irrelevant.

MoS is like Thor 2 quality

Also seen and confirmed: Robin suit hanging in Batcave with the words “Joke’s on you, Batman” We are in a world where a Robin is dead.
I'm guessing that that's Jason Todd and he's dead for reals. Because Red Hood would never work because every movie goer would know who it is already

That didn't stop a single person from seeing Winter Soldier. These movies aren't really about having big twists and surprise endings. They're all made for the general audience with elements from the comics sprinkled in there to satisfy the core base. The Red Hood story would work perfectly in today's DC cinematic universe based off that one scene in the trailer alone. I'd be 100% down for it.

It won't stop people from seeing it, but it's not gonna make an interesting movie.

They would need to do what arkhan knight did and throw the extra twist in

"Universe" so what. It's still a DC movie. MOS was WAY better than Thor 2
the universe thing matters. Literally no one involved in that film creatively is doing anything for DC at the moment. I mean if you're gonna balk at the "Universe" thing then let's bring up Green Lantern

I want DC and their little movies to do well and be super serious for all the grown ups in the world, i don't wish failure on any company

I can confirm that almost the entire theater knew WS was Bucky but there was a loud "Ahhhhh!" when the mask came off.

If the film is done correctly the payoff for the reveal is still :pimp:

What point are you even trying to make? Who cares who made the movie, it was a DC character movie, thus it's a DC movie. Yes green lantern Was trash. Who said anything different? So was IM 2-3, Thor 1-2, hulk 1, and kinda cap 1.

We all want good movies, that's a given.

MOS was a crapfest

Just lucky it wasn't Green Lantern crap level.

Dark Knight series was OK with the first movie being the best one. Disagree that it's 'Far and away' better than anything marvel has put out.

I understand this is the DC thread so a lot of you will disagree with me
