DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Tyrese said in an interview that he would be the best Green Lantern, but it's not like the one GL we had on film would be hard to surpass. :\

I think DC might really be negotiating with Tyrese to play John Stewart. I just don't know if he can portray the angry seriousness of John. Tyrese is usually playing light hearted jokey characters.
Light hearted character probably isn't a bad idea since Superman/Bats are so serious. I imagine WW would be in the same boat too. Making Flash/GL the lighter characters in JL could work. Not saying Tyrese should be the guy though
I too agree. I have the utmost confidence in Tyrese. DC needs to snatch him up before Marvel/Disney makes a power play.

And that has to be the most uninspired font I've seen on a magazine cover.

There's other Green Lantern's for that though. They're going to have multiple GL's in this cinematic universe. John Stewart is a no-nonsense guy.

Might be the contrast between Batman and Superan on that Empire cover, but where did Batman's neck go?

she was also in Homeland
Wow. I definitely don't remember her from Homeland.
Riddler is hard to make realistic. Too real and he's just jigsaw from saw with the death traps, too cartoony and he's a poor mans joker

If he ever does come to be they'll defiantly need to throw in a new spin.
They need to do him exactly the animated series.

Leaving hard *** riddles that nobody can solve but Batman so it's basically like he's on a killing spree and then it ends up with Batman being caught in a trap to save his own life and some orphans while The Riddler uses that as a distraction to rob the federal bank or something.

I think Batffleck as director can get the balance right. It'll be easy as hell if Leo is The Riddler though.

TBH i saw ALOT of riddler qualities in ledger's joker(of course not taking anything from performance) but giving him the wrong address so harvey dent would be saved, the whole ship incident at the end, switching the hostages for the real criminals, and even having those vids where he asks batman to reveal himself, totally had riddler qualities....i'm sure nolan saw that and thats why they never did the riddler...i'm actually glad they didn't

Joker and Riddler have always been similar though.
The RIddler is more about intelligence and calculated wit, while Joker is more about chaos.
Yeah the similarities are there but the differences are distinct.

You could call The Riddler crazy for the stuff he does but he's not touching the Joker's insanity.

Glad ppl see the similarities in TDK though. All those tricks were Riddler like but the reasons behind them were really all Joker (thinking the ppl on the boats would push the button, being right about Harvey, etc.)

Derek Luke as GL?
That would be a good choice. Luke needs the exposure and his role in the MCU was minimal.

Riddler can leave riddles like Anonymous does with their messsges online.

Only serious thing ive seen Tyrese do was trying to prevent Sam from saving his girl in Transformers 3

I hate how padded Supermans suit looks

Tyrese can play Nick Fury when Sam Jack retires.

I don't really think Riddler works well in a movie setting unless it's as one of the many distractions that Batman has to face. As a main villain, I don't really buy him. I feel like his character works well in a series where you get to devote an episode or two every once in a while to his weirdness. Assault on Arkham did a good job of using him.

Stuff like this annoys me

It looks good but it's not practical for fighting crime
She's invulnerable to harm, practicality is irrelevant. She can fight crime in a xxxxxl hoody or snorkel it don't matter. She's stronger and faster than anyone she's fighting.

I thought the whole point of the Super-family costume was to be a symbol.

Wow. That costume is dope. Wasnt expecting that at all

Sarcasm? Satire of the feminist comic book reading community? I'm sure it is more practical than batman's cowl
she's wearing heals tho

Might as well be in a Jurassic world prequel

Batmans cowl hides his identity, what does this skirt do other than arouse fanboys?

For the current tone of superhero films villains like the Riddler and Mad Hatter need to be made suitably serious and grim, which I think can work. Mad Hatter for example was like that in the Arkham series, while still being identifiably the classic Mad Hatter. At the same time you can see why he'd be capable of providing a challenge to Batman and a danger to average citizens. Have them put real effort into the riddles Nigma comes up with, get the right costume, and show why what he does can cause harm to people and I think it could work.

For the most part I think all of Batman's major villains could hold their own film if potrayed just right for that specific medium.

Did they really remove part of Batflecks neck to make him the same height as Cavill or am I bugging?
