DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

^So would actors be playing two roles or are they getting no names (or more stars) to play the evil counterparts?

As for Goyer, not surprised. He's not really good at what he does. I would've been more interested and welcoming if they just straight up said we're doing the golden age Supes that was a douche and at times may have ambiguously killed  That Superman on the silver screen with modern day Supes powers would've been something to see.

His interpretation just isn't interesting.

I wouldn't mind the same actors since for the most part, they are in their costumes the whole time anyways or should be. Just to save them money too, they need t just do that if they go that route.

it would be a badass film though especially if Snyder directs, it's not just Metropolis that will be demolished.

I never had a problem with superman killing Zod. I even saw it coming, it just happened so soon

I wouldn't mind seeing Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate once a JLA has been established and they are a few movies deep with the team. Really like DCs Villains Month right now too.

I thought what they did for villains month was pretty awesome! IDK if they can do a crime syndicate movie though.

But how come cyborg doesnt have an Earth 3 counterpart? Also I wonder if they will have Hawkgirl or Cyborg in the JL movie. After all they werent in the original story arc. One was added for DCAU and the other was the new 52 reimagination.

So Wonder Woman is really going to be in the film? DC's biting off more than they can chew aren't they?

Might be late on this

Nightwing & Wonder Woman Rumored for Batman vs. Superman

The rumor mill has kicked into overdrive now that Batman vs. Superman, or whatever the Man of Steel sequel ends up being titled, is just months away from principal photography fully commencing.
Two separate rumors cropped up today. The first comes from Latino-Review, which claims that actors are being sought for the role of an adult **** Grayson, the former Robin-turned-Nightwing.

The site says they're looking for is "a young John Hawkes type." This actor would reportedly be required to perform martial arts, although the site adds that Grayson would no longer be Batman's crime-fighting partner when this story takes place.
Meanwhile, the drumbeat about Wonder Woman also being in the film is growing louder, with Forbes claiming the superheroine is likely to appear in Batman vs. Superman. That came on the heels of a claim made by Schmoes Know that Quantum of Solace and Oblivion actress Olga Kurylenko had tested for the role. Kurylenko also recently starred opposite new Batman Ben Affleck in To the Wonder.

The Ukranian-born Kurylenko, however, was formally announced just hours later as starring in the horror film Mara, which is scheduled to start filming in May. So IF Wonder Woman is indeed in Batman vs. Superman and IF Kurylenko did indeed test for the role then would her schedule for Mara even allow her to film a role in the Zack Snyder-directed superhero epic, which begins shooting in February?

Time will tell if these rumblings our colleagues are hearing pan out. The Man of Steel sequel opens July 17, 2015.

I don't give a **** about Nightwing. I wish DC/WB had the balls to just kill all of the Robin's and derivative other code names these sidekicks ended up having. Let Frank Miller do it.

I like Grayson/Nightwing, really do not care much for the other Robins.

They do though. They just keep replacing them

Grayson is okay. He's cool as Nightwing and was awesome when he played Batman. Damian Wayne was an okay Robin too.

Batman having a kid sidekick (and the later on reasons for why he "needs" a Robin) has always been complete and utter bull **** to me.

I mean seriously, a rich billionaire dude constantly adopting or acquiring new wards in his estate with his elderly butler? Not to mention the ridiculous color scheme for Robin. That **** should've stayed in the campy silver age. Employing children to assist you in fighting crime  Aint like son is raising actual heirs.

I swear they ever let me write Batman, you'll see a true death of the family.

 It kind of make sense because he was helping out orphans for the most part, he was lucky enough to have rich parents that set him for life w/o money problems but those "robins" aren't so lucky. And he is usually against them joining him int he beginning but he just sees himself int hem. It's not like dude just picks them off of the streets randomly and just dresses them up just for the sake of having a companion.

There are definitely a lot of pedo talk and ridicule between their relationships but I really never had a problem with it.

all them former robins are lame except for red hood. Damian wayne is okay. Every announcement made seems more likely that superman 2 will be a ****up

Red Hood is just as lame as the rest and still annoying. It's why fans originally voted to kill him off.

They should rename the book Arsenal & The Outlaws.

If he wants to help some orphans, he'd start an actual school where they could go, buy the orphanage so he could feed and cloth them, and then give them a full ride in college.

Them Robins had it easy for the most part. One was in the circus and a star and the other is a genius and had parents. Todd was a thief or something so yeah he could've got help but not the here's a costume and some training lets go beat up criminals help. I don't recall much about the girls other than one was the daughter of a criminal and the other a mute daughter of an assassin (I think). Damian is the only one that makes sense if you accept that Bruce is an obsessive sociopath willing to employ his preteen son in the same dangerous violent lifestyle he's in to. Morrison of course made it make sense when he killed Damian cuz that's what should've happened to every Robin mostly; death or being crippled or brain dead/vegetables.

What's really appalling is the story where Gordon finds out Bruce got his own daughter in this, puts on the bat signal, and shoots Batman in the head hasn't been written yet.

Kevin Smith Prasies Ben Affleck's Batsuit

From comicvine.com

While we anxiously wait for any new details surrounding Man of Steel II / Batman vs. Superman / whatever it'll be called, Kevin Smith has been lucky enough to actually see the costume Ben Affleck will wear. Sure, we're all kinds of jealous, but Smith was kind enough to tease the world about what he saw. Clearly, the director is in love with it and elaborated while on a podcast. He even implies people who hate Man of Steel or just the idea of the upcoming movie will dig it.

“I saw the costume. More than that I saw a picture of him (Affleck) in the costume. Now, I don’t want to give anything away ’cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this I instantly bear hugged him (Snyder). You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before, and for a comic book fan it was mind bending. I was like ‘Get out of here, only you have enough power to pull this off.’ Because everyone always like does this Matrix/X-Men black armor…It was fantastic. I’m already a flag waver for this movie but the costume, it blew my mind. I think everyone is just gonna be like ‘Holy S**!’ It’s its own thing, man. It’s like we haven’t been down this path at all. I was so elated….Even the hardest core F*** all this person will be like ‘alright, I’m ready.'"

Grey suit, blue cape/cowl, trimmed down bat ears >D

Nolans Batman already has the trimmed down ears so nothing new about that.

Considering it is Snyder, I could see him going the Turner Batman with the huge, flowing cape (cgi it like MoS). I also wouldn't mind the grey suit with black cape/cowl.
