DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

They obviously didn't want an old Lex, it's a decision on their part (yet to be seen if good or bad). Just the same way they wanted to make Batman much more experienced and older than Superman. Just got to wait and see.

Ray Fisher to Play Cyborg In ‘Batman-Superman’ (EXCLUSIVE)

After testing actors over the past couple weeks, Warner Bros. and D.C. have tapped theater actor Ray Fisher for the role of Cyborg in the untitled Batman-Superman pic.

Cyborg, while not a major part in the Batman-Superman feature, is a member of the Justice League and will become a much more significant role as Warner and D.C. develop more films related to the Justice League universe, sources confirm.

Fisher joins the Batman-Superman cast which includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams with Zack Snyder directing.

Production is currently underway in Michigan.

Written by David S. Goyer, the screenplay for Batman-Superman is based on a story co-created by Goyer and Snyder.

Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, expressed a great deal of promise in Cyborg in the recent “Man of Steel” bonus feature, as well as the fictional research facility S.T.A.R. Labs, which appears in several DC Comics.

“I think he would create an incredible bridge between superheroes and humanity,” Cavill said of the Cyborg character.

S.T.A.R. Labs was also the workplace of Justice League characters Professor Hamilton and superhero Rampage, although it’s unclear whether they are involved in Batman-Superman.

Produced by Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder, the untitled Batman-Superman feature opens May 6, 2016.

Fisher, repped by ICM Partners, is more known for his theater roles including the Broadway play “Fetch Clay, Make Man” where he portrayed Muhammad Ali.

He was also one of the actors testing for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “Star Wars: Episode VII.”

Hope they come up with a much more cooler design for Cyborg in this. I'd hate to see a grown black man in a metal diaper with parts of his body exposed.

Good casting.. kinda young, but by the time they get around to a full-fledged JLA flick, he'll be good.

And I know that he's probably going to have a cameo-like role, but I'm not digging the introduction of all these characters. I honestly thought they should have just done a straight MoS sequel w/ Braniac. I mean, at this point, there's only 3 other principal characters they need filled (Flash, GL, and MM).

IMO, DC/WB's biggest weakness is that they are chasing Marvel rather than going at their own pace. Marvel needs to strike will the iron is hot because they are shoving B-List heroes down the mainstream audiences throat. The DC trinity however (Bats, WW, Supes) are pop icons. Whether you release a film with them next year, 5 years from now, or a decade, people will come out because they're so much a part of our culture.

But whatever, I just want to see Batfleck in the suit already.

Cranston as Luthor would have been an automatic win....I don't understand why dude wouldn't get the part specially if he wanted it....dude is an absolute beast of an actor
Mark Strong would have been the best fit for the roll of the "classic" Lex.

I would absolutely love to have Cranston play the good guy as Gordon in the Batman reboot though.

And I still want Idris for the John Stewart Green Lantern.

Man Cranston cool and all but you guys need to get over him not getting hired, he wasn't even considered for the part. Plenty of people want roles in big budget films and they just can't give them out to whoever wants it. Plus it's just Breaking Bad withdrawal.

Plus as you can see with the hiring of Eisenberg, they want someone much younger, not someone who looks like they are in their 60s. I am not saying Eisenberg is a better choice but their vision is obviously different.

Cranston isn't "cool and all". He's an amazing actor.

Then when you see who they did choose no way there won't be constant complaining until the movie comes out and probably after.

Not discreditting him at all and again im not saying Eisenbergs the best/betterchoice but mulling over Cranston does nothing. Its been said a million times and at this point, i wouldnt be surprised if Cranston mention isnt on every page of this thread.

Im just saying people need to move on. Not every comic book thread that isnt Marvel Studios has to be about criticizing the film negatively.

hopefully these are very small cameos wonder woman included....cause im still stuck in nolan batman mode i know they need to expand universe but let it be just superman vs batman first then next film include justice league members otherwise this ***** gonna overload and bomb badly....hell batman could be a small role for me superman has one hell of a rogues gallery but batman cant **** with none of them straight up except lex luther we couldve seen metallo or brainiac in this one intro to kryptonite so many stories but dont rush JL just yet

Ive read in SHH forums from an "insider" that they will be small cameos and that there will be more casting announced soon, at least 2 more. Take it with a grain of salt but outside of Batman, all other heroes will most likely just have tiny cameos. Maybe WW might get a slightly bigger role but in the end this is still pledged as a Superman sequel with Batman in it.

Well there is no denying that but i dont think its a bad thing though. A tiny cameo then leads to a JL or maybe one or two other origins films then JL, its a different approach from Marvel but at least it is planned ahead.

first off man this **** cant compete with avengers batman is ****** 40 something and superman is early 30s really ben affleck is old as **** to be playing batman how do u do a franchise when hes thatll last 6 years a least theyll be switchin out batman  before they do a batman movie...i dont know why dude that played robin in the last nolan film couldnt be batman....
