DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

It's not a tat on Jason Todd and what an amazing way to spoil the game.

If you play just a little bit you know that's who it is.
Games been out a few weeks now. Fair game.
A month in two days to be exact. We can't discuss the game b/c you haven't played it?

Dudes really complaining about spoiling video games now? :smh:
What makes it any different from spoiling anything else? Spoilers are spoilers
Seems even less of a big deal.

It's a video game. I thought dudes were playing it for fun and entertainment not cuz of what they don't know will happen next. I mean if somebody is ahead of you in the same game you'll seriously tell them not to talk about it? :smh: On some don't tell me Sub Zero's story when you beat MK with him steez.

Wut? Many single-player video games come with gripping and well-crafted stories nowadays. How is it living in 1985?

then what makes that different from spoiling a movie or tv show tho? Since I guess you would consider them a bigger deal? People play the game for the story the same people will watch a show or movie for its plot. The same can be applied for either of them

I mean even in the games own thread we do spoilers. So you yes you can talk about the events but we spoiler it and be opened at your own risk. The other part of the thread that isn't in spoilers are to talk about the mechanics, problems, reviews, upcoming DLC, etc...

And the game actually has a story with a twist and mystery, it's part of the fun, you interact with the story and watch it unfold so yes it can be a big deal to spoil it for people.

It's not like it's some first person shooter where you just talk about your kill streak or some fighting game that you just talk about how well you are doing. It has an actual story to tell and people do stay away from there to keep from being spoiled.

I'm trying to figure out how dudes don't understand why people are mad about the game being spoiled

Like what? This series is lauded for its story and massive plot twists, like so many other games since like 2001. Where have yall been? :smh:

My bad y'all

Didn't know that was a twist in the game or else I wouldn't of said anything

And whether it's a brand or a tat, what's the point of the #wellactually on that?

Anyway, this is probably DC related

Umberto from Heroic Hollywood said he's heard about studios trying to find away to stop leaks or at the very least track them back to the source and stop deals from being reported before they're final because it usually ruins the deal.

Example, it's leaked that Actor X is rumored for the a Riddler or something and it blows up Twitter, blogs etc and actor X's agent comes back to the studio trying to negotiate for more money and the studio refuses.

Seems like something that's impossible to stop tbh it's only going to get worse

I'm not saying they don't have good stories. I'm saying it's doesn't matter much if you enjoy playing the game.

Personally I don't give a **** about spoilers. There really isn't a game, tv show or movie anybody could really spoil for me but I can understand for a tv show for other ppl that you've been following for a long time can have some negative effect if somebody spoils huge plot points if you had no clue about it.

My thing is that shouldn't really ruin your experience. Brush that **** off and stop complaining.

The story is part of the experience though. If the game is simply about the gameplay and it just tells you go here and do this or go there and do that then the game wouldn't be as good or fun. The game is known for it's story and twist and discovering mysteries, it is a Batman game after all. Without the story, the game would be playable but not as enjoyable and just feel empty. The story makes a big difference in both the enjoyment and playability of the game.

Like right now if you finish the game, you may never play it again just to take out thugs in the streets or blow something up with the batmobile but that will get boring without any objectives or story to tell. With the DLCs, they add stories that allows you to keep playing and actually enjoy the game further.

I guess it's somewhat equivalent to an action film, yes you can just watch the film for the explosions and fight scenes but the movie won't be a good or great action film with a next level of enjoyment if there was no story or if you already know the story coming in.

I get it that to some they do not care, would read all the spoilers, watch the leaked end-credit scene or read comic book backwards (I know at least one weird person who used to do this) but many still care and want to be surprised no matter what format they are using.

I don't want to know big plot twists or how a game ends before I play it just like I wouldn't want that stuff spoiled in a movie or TV show. Those moments add to the experience.

Well just like a movie, after a month it's fair game. Thing came out in June.

I think it's a bit different just because this isn't the thread for it. I think in it's own thread then it is fine to stop the spoilers at this point but in other threads where it isn't the main topic, should at least try and spoiler it.

Plus the length of the entertainment between two formats are different. You can knockout a movie in one sitting while to finish the game, it could take you days if you rush through it but still has some semblance of life. Many may not even finish in a month or two.

That comparison was one hell of a Mr. Fantastic reach though. There was no need to post it even if it was under a spoiler .

Thank God I completed the game already
