DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

At first I was outraged about the Jesse Eisenburg casting but then I thought about it. It actually makes a lot of sense.

Someone mentioned this on another board: "Luthor today would be more like Zuckerberg, less like Jobs/Gates."

I can see this really working.
What exact version of Lex Luthor are they basing that off?

Luthor is a super genius a-hole that doesn't have many failings other than his ego and arrogance. He isn't some introvert, he isn't socially awkward like the real Zuckerberg. Luthor has the presence where ppl can see him as president. He's cunning and manipulative not just clever. He'd have guys like Jobs and Gates under his boots.

I like he's a good actor.. he wouldn't have been who I pictured as Luther so that's a bit disappointing (mostly because Cranston would have been awesome). But I'll be optimistic because I've never gotten too upset on casting announcements.

The casting for this movie is so strange. Anorexic girl playing Wonder Woman, curly haired dude who looks like he's in college playing Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons being wasted as Alfred instead of a villain/beastly character...wtf?

He can be cocky and a jerk, just needs to multiply that tenfolds and keep the mannerisms down and maybe sit up straight more.

lol. People are actually defending this. Some of you guys so desperate for these Superhero movies you will accept anything

This film is a joke. To be honest I pretty much lost all interest in it as soon as it was announced Batman was going to feature, I thought that was bad enough. But being a huge DC fan I always held out for that minuscule glimmer of hope that it would all end well

...but these castings

Eisenberg is a great actor, as long as the story is written correctly, he will be fine. Gene Hackman worked out pretty good, so will Jesse.

And Irons is fantastic.

Every single character been questioned. Cavill. Affleck. Gadot. Now Eisenberg. Bottom line, people just like to *****. Nobody learned after all they're crying over Heath Ledger ain't no Joker, then....... :smh:

No one really complained about Cavill.
Yeah, nobody really complained about much of the cast for MOS. Not Shannon or Adams and those two unfortunately disappointed in different ways. Zod just wasn't that compelling (I blame that on writing) and Adams' Lois just looked old as **** and ragged.

Only real complaints were from racists about Fishburne being the editor-in-chief for the newspaper.

As far as I see it all of the casting for this sequel so far have had deserved complaints.
