DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

so when does this take place in the dceu? after supes death but before batman starts forming his team?

also are they trying to change the story about who did batman get his teams info from? in bvs it was lex that did all the research on the team and that's how batman found them, in this movie he goes out and gets it from amanda.
also... does amanda know about bruce/bat? i kinda got that vibe when i saw that scene :nerd:

I think Waller knows Bruce/Bats identity, she did tip off Deadshot in the beginning. This seems more evident when he changed his voice in the mid-credit telling her that his friends will take care of everything.

Lex probably only had like video files while Waller has their location?

I got $6 Tuesdays and Sundays here at a Regal/Edwards in El Monte, CA :smokin

Amanda Waller is supposed to be a know all and end all in the DCEU. She's like the DC version of Nick Fury and ARGUS is shied.

Now on to your quesiton:

This looks like it takes place after BvS. Maybe even parallel so as to acknowledge why Supes was unavailable to help. I think Lex didn't do any research per se, but it maybe the files and footage he had he may have stolen or borrowed from Argus. I think Bruce knew exactly what he wanted and he knew where to get it.

Maybe i have lower expectations or am more of a DC fanboy but I fail to see the issues many people are having with SS. Pacing? Convoluted story? bad editing? I don't see it. This to me has the same mojo as GOTG.

All of the backstories were IMO short concise but very informative. This is after all a comic book movie, and I think it hit all the points it needed to.

Some say the deviation from the source material is horrid but that's the case for a lot of these films.

This is a great entry for the WB and DCEU. The story made sense and pretty straightforward. Waller attempts to organize a team, one of the team the most uncontrollable goes rogue and needs to be put down. Simple.

Throw in the Joker and some decent action and its a fun movie. I'm not saying it's amazing but it lived up to the expectations I had.

this is head and shoulders above all the Fantasic Four movies by far.

Reserved seating is awesome. I remember having to line up early for popular movies back in the day. If you showed up late, you'd be stuck sitting in the front row :x
I don't know how I or other people did it back by then. I can't imagine it these days. :x

I know how it is with wives/girlfriends though. Whenever we hit up Drafthouse, we'll spend $40 easy.

Luckily, my wife never has interest in these kind of movies so I'm always able to go with my boys for these Thursday premieres. So on top of the ~$15 ticket, I usually grab the $20 box of chicken tenders/fries/soda and it's not to bad on my wallet

I believe this takes place after BvS. I may be mistaken, but I thought they mentioned Superman being dead and the next meta human that shows up may not have the same moral compass as he did. In regards to the Justice League, what I gathered is that Lex had information about Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, but Waller has their current locations so that Bruce can go find them. In BvS, it was more of him finding out that these people exist.

She probably noticed he's been into blonde khaleesis since Game Of Thrones.
Amber Heard about to ruin another marriage

Jason Momoa is just too cool to hate no matter how hard I try.

Reminds me of Russell Brand.

brand is easy to hate. The guy is a douche.

I'm jelly of the $8 movie tickets. I have to watch a morning showing to get that price.
Well more so his character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

He didn't come off douchey to me during his Rogan interview. Did sound like a bit of a know-it-all, though.

This woman has the nerve to call David Ayer a bad director

This coming from the same women who lead a campaign to make Deadpool PG-13

This shocked me! Angry Joe actually liked a DCEU movie

This is kind of why I like the Drafthouse; you can just order from your seats and have the food brought to you.

yeah my wife and i committed to seeing this flick there(Nor Cal) just think it's funny my SIL does it at normal theaters . I've had a portion of my bachelor party take place at the cinerama and they been doing the same thing, it's just funny because my SIL will go HAM

About to head out to watch it, is there a post-credit scene I should stay for?
