Are 2 movies (I only know of After Earth and the Karate Kid) really enough to say Jaden has no acting talent?

Just need to play a smart kid living with a lower middle class family going to a public hs that has gangs and what not.

I liked him in Pursuit of Happyness and the Karate Kid..

It remains to be seen if he can have an acting career like his dad 's

Better stay on his grind or end up just another spoiled kid who can't quite make it
 
Jared Leto Eyed to Play The Joker in WB's ‘Suicide Squad’ (Exclusive)

The Oscar winner hasn't settled on his follow-up to “Dallas Buyers Club” so he's still available

Oscar winner Jared Leto is circling a key role in David Ayer‘s “Suicide Squad” that could prove to be The Joker, an individual familiar with the Warner Bros. project has told TheWrap.

Warner Bros. had no comment, while a representative for Leto did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Tom Hardy, Will Smith and Margot Robbie are in various stages of discussions to star in “Suicide Squad,” which David Ayer is directing and Charles Roven is producing. Jesse Eisenberg is also expected to reprise his role as Superman's mortal foe Lex Luthor, though no casting is confirmed at this time.

Ryan Gosling was initially sought to play The Joker but he was unwilling to sign a deal with options for multiple movies, according to one insider.

I say get Jake Gyllenhayll slim was creepy in Nightcrawler and with him losing that weight he looked like Jared Leto x Tobey Maguire. You know only if they don't get Jared

I love Ryan. But can't see him as Joker... Weird option..

Jared in the other hand. Think he would kill it.
Also after seeing nightcrawler Jake wouldn't seem bad.
 
I love Heath Ledger's performance, but I'm not opposed to seeing someone else take on the role. It's going to be a huge risk for anyone who plays the Joker though. They might not be given a fair shake.
 
I'd be very surprised to see Will Smith sign up for Suicide Squad. Don't see him letting himself get locked up for a multi picture deal option and being restricted with his options.

Or being part of an ensemble. Well, maybe only if he's the main lead.

When they do a new joker I hope it's just completely different and not a DK wannabe. THAT will help people get over the DK version and accept a new one.
 
I remember folks shunned Heath for following Jack Nicholson as joker and how he couldn't compare.

I'd give anyone a shot at joker. He seems like such a fun character to play
 
This is the first I hear about Jared Leto being the Joker, can't lie I'm interested. He's not a bad actor IMO.
 
In addition to confirming that Jared Leto is circling the Joker role in Suicide Squad, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed intriguing quotes from an interview conducted just yesterday with the actor. "I do [have my eye on one project.] I am excited about what's happening," he told the trade. "There are incredible opportunities and I'm very grateful for them. I'm looking forward to making films again now that the tour is wrapping up. It's going to be an exciting 2015."

Of course, Leto wouldn't offer any details about the said project: "I've sworn to keep my mouth shut but I think that very shortly there will be something to talk about, that's for sure."

Jared Leto is not a bad choice.

I remember someone saying Shartlo Copely as a choice.
 
The idea of the Suicide Squad is both dumb and great. Like why would you offer reduced prison time to repeat offenders? Then again, being villains, they'll do what it has to take to get the job done. Hopefully the Joker's involvement means that Harley will be involved.
 
I don't care if Leto is the Joker. I'll come in to his performance the same way I did Heath's, unassuming.

Of course depending on how the movie goes there'll definitely be comparisons to the pinnacle of what Heath did in TDK that Leto most likely won't be able to escape.

:lol: @ Gosling as Joker. That is something I'm not seeing. I'd pay to be proven wrong about him in that wall.

Of course Jake could pull this off too. Happy ppl seeing his potential since Nightcrawler.
 
Gosling as joker would've been god awful. I don't understand his appeal at all. Thank god that didn't go thru
