DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

He looks like an uglier version of Flash Thompson imo he dont look nothing like the thing

Anyway I dont expect this movie to take itself seriously. Closer to GotG in tone than it will be to The Dark Knight

Rocksteady put nothing but love into those games. BTAS and The Arkham Series are the best portrayals of the Batman universe outside of the comic

One thing's for certain..

Without a doubt. They took the source material and actually USED it. Those games from start to finish are video game perfection. If someone hasn't played them yet i urge you to immediately

Arkham Knight will 100% be better than any of these movies.

NVM. Googled it. No it aint. Gamers will never learn their lesson when it comes to prejudging games then complain when you get garbage like the master chief collection.

Well your comparison doesn't really work. Mcc "sucked" because the game came out and DID NOT WORK, like AT ALL. The games within it are actually good. Now if you're assuming AK will suck because it won't work then fine, but if you're saying the game will just be bad then I'll have to disagree. So far ALL the batman games are a solid 9.5 at least IMO. They've all followed the same formula but just continually added to it.

I'm not saying it'll suck. I'm saying we don't know. Games have had a good record in the past and released a ****** title.

Also if a game doesn't work then it sucks. I don't care why it sucks. The sheep who bought MCC deserve a **** title.

Croc should be a huge beast of a being not the thing from the first two FF movies in green :x

And why does he have hand wraps? Dude is a crocodile man. He shouldn't need hand protection :x

But again, I'm chalking it up to just a horrible picture

If they're gonna make him a croc man, may as well make him large. We're already suspending disbelief.

Craig an them always say don't judge a movie by it costumed villains, but damn that's just not a good picture. Bruh on the far right, and Will looking like a slightly upgraded Deathlok.

Would be a dream since I think AA characters were all done perfect, but I wouldn't even say that big for the movie. Dude looks to be maybe 5"11

Killer croc shouldn't be the second biggest guy in the gang
If we could make these characters look the way they do in these games I would be happy. Rocksteady da gawds

We kinda do know. We've watch about an hour of actual game play already.

Well again, your comparison doesn't work. MCC isn't a "game" it's a port of the older games. What "sucks" as you say, is the coding of the port. H1-4 doesn't automatically "suck" because they're horribly ported and handled. "Sheep"? those "sheep" were able to return the game for a full refund.

This isn't the thread for this so we can continue on in the Xbox thread if you'd like. I'd rather not though

Exactly. I don't get why the first thought for studios is to make these super Heroes/villains more "realistic" when the entire premise is as unrealistic as it could possibly get. Just take what they are, make it, and THEN see what could be changed.

Take wolverine for example. His mask is iconic yet for a decade when know Logan more for wearing a wife beater

What if they wanted Spider-Man to look more realistic? They'd have a kid wearing a hoodie with the symbol on it with a red hat in and called is a day.

My point is some things DO NOT need to be realistic

You can use any other game that was hyped and ended up being garbage, despite the track record of the studio. Story is the same

"[Game] will be GOAT"...... [game] releases.... omg it sucks.

everything else is filler

All I have to say so no we dont need to go to the XB thread

I am not going to get in the middle of this but this is what you had to say about the comic book accurate costume of Batman.

That looks cosplay like :x

I mean there's no "practicality" in the suit. It's just looks like a costume. Nothing tactical or "armor like" about it.

I said that because the new batsuit looks like he's just wearing it for no reason other than liking looking like a bat. I posted pics of a batsuit that payed homage to the classic look, which was the reason some people claimed they went that route, yet had purpose and practicality to it. That picture coincidentaly came from the AA games

Practicality doesn't mean realistic either. Just means the look matches the intent, and frankly, looks better if I do say so myself

This doesn't look realistic but it does look like batman can actually do some damage

And "comic book accurate" doesn't always look good hence my "THEN see what could be changed" statement.

That doesn't work because you just argued studios want's it realistic and when they do a comic accurate (unrealistic) where explanation isn't needed why Bats has been wearing it for 75 years then you say it shouldn't be that way. I mean comics have been wearing costumes for absolutely no reason other than so they look cool and that is the exact reason Bats wears a batman costume, to look like a bat and supposedly scare his opponents.

Practicality to an extent means realism, it is the only way you want it to be practical is so that it feels more real or possible.

You are better off saying "I don't like that, they should have been like the games" than contradicting yourself.

Again I am not trying to argue but just wanted to point that out, it doesn't quite add up. And I agree comic accurate doesn't always means it looks good but to me, that Bats coming straight from TDKR looks really good and feel like a comic book with the crazy muscles and not some guy with riot gear with a cape and pointy ears.

If it it'll satiate your practicality side then you can just assume Bats or StarLabs has developed a new fabric that is tougher than steel that cannot be penetrated by bullets or at least prevents some punches or kicks or knife shanks? I mean that isn't out of the realm of comic book possibilities. Mr Fantastic developed fabric that won't burn, goes invisible and stretch. Stark developed stretchy shorts for the Hulk.
