I guess they mean with good cgi or maybe they don't know and only the know the cartoon which is more popular.
 
Zero interest in that Tarzan movie either..



Northman needs to pick better roles, straw dogs is the only thing I think I've seen with him in it other than true blood.. O and battleship, which I watched because cable was out during a hurricane

Not even making excuses but I got to say there were a lot of things to watch on tv this weekend.


Friday had NXT Takeover, GSW (losing) and the Broner fight that mayweather hyped up.
Saturday had NCAA Final Four.
Sunday had an almost 7 hours long Wrestlemania and finales for TWD and Shameless.

And those are just the things I watched :lol:

Again not an excuse but damn I watched a lot of tv this weekend :wow:

Also, another thing I just thought about..




How depressing is this WW movie going to be if they continue down this same path?

They dug themselves in a pretty big hole by basically saying she gave up on men for almost 100 years.. So what catastrophic event is going to take place in that movie where WW is basically going to say "screw you guys, I'm going home" (not exactly.. But you get the point)

I mean this isn't cap where he was frozen for that time period

Opinion of the film as a whole hasn't changed, but a second viewing allowed me to pay attention to other things, for better or worse. As much as I think Wonder Woman's theme doesn't fit her, I think that Lex Luthor's is perfect. Scene where he's first walking into the Kryptonian ship and then getting to experiment on Zod's body was also an excellent presentation of that.

Perhaps because I saw it in 3D the first time (And I wear glasses and hadn't planned on watching it as such, so I had to wear the 3D glasses over my regular glasses), but I really didn't realize how many people Batman killed in this film

That car chase where he's trying to first get the Kryptonite has him smashing a car into a building, latching a cable onto it, dragging it through the street, and then throwing it onto another car. Explosion are no all 3-6 of those people are dead as hell

Doesn't even begin to count the car he sets up to hit that truck, the truck driver, and the people he actively shot up with the Batmobile and Batplane.

Not necessarily a problem for me, but that's going to be an issue down the line in terms of whatever supervillains are running around Gotham, unless whoever has the balls to really have Batman killing non-mooks.

There's also zero reason at all for Diana to go steal Batman's device that's downloading information from Luthorcorp's databanks and then to specifically wait for Batman to go check on it, and then stare directly at him when he finds out its gone, before quickly walking away. That just serves no purpose besides to make them interact, which I get because you need that in the film. But it just came off as silly to me. Not like she knew she was going to need his held to get past the protection later in the film.

Knightmare sequence is perfect.

Evil Superman, Batman vs his troops Also realized that the Superman soldiers are based off his troops from Injustice in terms of appearance and that Batman in turn looks like he did in the alternate universe story Gotham by Gaslight.

Nice touches. Still say that i'd watch a film in that world and pay good money to do so. Also think that it might've just been the theater I was in the first time, or maybe since I was in the front ******* row, but I was able to hear Flash a lot better right after the Knightmare, talking about Lois Lane and how Bruce was right about "him" and always had been. There any info or theories on where this Flash is from? (Future obviously, but what future exactly? The Knightmare or something else?)

Still not a fan of Doomsday. And i'm not a huge fan of the character as it is, but think I really would've preferred had they used someone else as a villain. Perhaps even just give Lex his powered suit. Could've worked to play up the Man vs God angle. Otherwise, how does Lex even plan to control that thing in the event that Batman kills Superman? Which is clearly what he wants. Don't feed me some bull that he just assumed he'd be able to control it because he created it. Lex Luthor's smarter than that.

EDIT: Also, Batman asking Superman if Wonder Woman's with him doesn't make any sense. Maybe if he hadn't seen the picture of her in armor and such, dating back to like WWI beforehand then sure, but he did and had interacted with her to some extent. He has a basic idea of who this woman is, while the wording makes it seem like he's just meeting her for the first time.

Superman asks Batman if Wonder Woman's with him, Batman says no, and then says that he thought Wonder Woman was with Superman. So yes, he technically doesn't ask. Still makes no sense for him to make that assumption.
 
If I had to rationalize why Batman would say that he was probably just assuming one super powered freak would probably already know the other super powered freak.

Batman knew about Wonder Woman, but I guess he was assuming since they were both super-people, they'd already been acquainted/knew each other
 
Now that I think about it, a jaded old murdering Batman could have made into a good storyline, if they didn't have Superman level metropolis in MOS.

it could have been like a reverse Dark Knight Returns story line, but instead of Superman being corrupted by the Goverment, Batman is the one who has become corrupted overtime by cynicsm, paranoia and tradegy.


You have superman come on the scene with his commitment to humanity, to saving people, his perseverance in the face of insurmountable odds and his eventual death from killing doomsday and saving then world.

upon supermans death Batman finds out that superman was a farm boy from Kansas, and humble reporter. not some alien god from outerspace


this then convinces Batman that he's lost his way, that he needs to stop murdering hapless lexcorp UPS drivers, and branding criminals and sedning them to certain death...and he needs to embrace Supermans ideals of truth and justice...


this leads him to form the justice league. and commits his vast fortune and wayne enterprise RnD department to bringing superman back to life.




But instead we got this hunk of ****.
 
^ the more I think about it, MOS should have be the catalyst that triggers a ton of events in the DC universe..

with both WW and aquaman, their stories should have sorted mirrored each other sorta.. where you have these places that exist on earth but don't really interact and partake in the activities of the world..

both of their solo movies would be the story of how life existed in their respective worlds prior to those events.. and then the decisions being made that those events force them to take a larger role in what is happening on earth.. and with aquaman you have the added element of anger for what humans have been doing to the oceans all these years

with batman and flash movies, you could add elements to their solo films to address some of the criticisms that MOS got.. just how bats was on the ground during the events of MOS in this movie, you could have both of these heroes at the end of their solo films on the ground saving lives

with bates, you could just have a straight up batman film.. at the end it shows him in the bat cave when zod's message comes out.. he then springs into action and making moves to save lives

same thing with flash, you could show debris falling and him all over the place saving lives during that event

but basically you have the two of them in action saving a crap ton of lives

then in superman 2 or JL, whatever comes first.. you have cyborg being one of the victims of that event

also could be the trigger to the green lantern corps that they need someone from earth
 
Speaking of MOS being the catalyst I for sure thought the congressional hearing would have been about the events in MOS instead of the incident in Africa at the beginning of the movie. Which the more I think about that and the whole where was the bullet from plot line was just so Lois Lane would have something to do in the movie that involves actual reporting and investigating.
 
If it was me, I would've just concentrated on making a good Superman solo sequel

There were lots of things about MoS I didn't like but the DCEU was still salvageable

Could've concentrated on making a Supes movie that was lighter and more in line with what Supes was supposed to be. Concentrate less on being a cgi fest and instead focus on crafting a story that can get the audience behind Superman. Boot Synder for the sequel.

Cut down the budget if you have to like Marvel does with movies they know that aren't going to bring in excess of a billion. Really focus on Supes being a Beacon of light. Give him more of an aww chucks personality.

Then after that Supes solo sequel you can go with the opposite theme for Bats.

Do the WW movie after. Then BvS. And then JL.

But now moving forward it's too late for that soft Supes reboot. Too late for anything really except just try to get BvS out of our mind moving forward.

Something tells me that DC is going to try to be different tone and concept wise moving forward and it'll be a super jarring contrast from BvS but nothing to do about it now.

WW and bates, could have easily had major roles in the superman sequel.. and played huge roles in the end.. but not what they were in this film

WW gets sent to check him out.. and batman is investigating Lex and supes

batman and WW have to help supes out in the end when lex uses kryptonite against him
