DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Before Reviews:

I can't wait for this movie. My body is ready. I don't care what critics say, I'm going to enjoy this movie

After Reviews:

These critics are just Marvel fanboys.

I don't see how Marvel movies get higher scores.

Here comes the Marvel fanboys

I love how you guys hate the comparisons to Marvel yet blame Marvel for the reviews and joke that they're on Marvel's payroll even though WB owns RT and DC was the one paying off youtube reviewers

Critics wanted to hate this. (Even though this was the most talked about movie of the summer apparently)

Not enjoying the fact that it's getting piled on. Just loving the reaction in here.   ... Still seein it Saturday night.

What a time to be a DC fanboy.

Assault on Arkham gave this movie the perfect blueprint. Not sure how they could screw it up.
I've BEEN saying that DC/WB needs to put whoever runs their animated movies division in charge of the movies..

you don't see the dark knight returns' batman or superman in the other animated movies (or green arrow), those versions were used for that isolated story.. and then they have the versions that overlap in the JL movies

anyways, I've thoroughly enjoyed most DC animated movies.. and there was maybe only 1 or 2 that I didn't find at least entertaining

Its crazy how DC took the crown wit MOS.. Followed by the best movie this yr and Squad might top that :pimp:

Willing to bet it has to do with bigwigs adding their 2 cents everywhere. Writers and the people most passionate about the universe have more control over the animated movies.

it's hilarious to me that the 1 movie fox has done right, they had zero faith in and had to be convinced by james Cameron and david fincher to even green light..

hell, reynolds or whoever had to leak the test footage to even show there was a buzz for deadpool

and that is EASILY the best thing they have done.. EASILY

I'm really not grasping why some reviews came out, and MASSES of people are suddenly sick and the movie sucks, etc, and yet, THEY HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM YET.

What the **** is happening with people?

People have literally already written a film off, they haven't even seen yet? Cuz some internet critics? :smh:

"I'm goin in with no expectations"
I'm goin in with an open mind"

*sees one bad review*

"DC FAILED AGAIN, BAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

I flat out don't understand people anymore. Bunch of ******* sheep.

I know I put the poll up early (just to get it out of the way) but who did anyone actually "saw" the film already and ranked it down?

You mad for no reason though. It's not just one review either. I mean we literally just went through the same thing with Bats v Supes and the criticism of that film ended up being pretty spot on.

My bad, sees multiple bad reviews, therefore you're current opinion of a film you have not seen yet is completely valid and substantiated now. Please, continue.

My opinion isn't one way or another yet. It just not a good look for the film in general. It's not like I won't be seeing it cause of some reviews, same thing with Bats v Supes, even though it ended up being pretty bad after I saw it.

yea.. at least got to see the movie first

not that I'm keeping track.. but just scrolling through my phone during lunch like an hour ago, there are a bunch of negative reviews already

i'll wait to see what comicbookgirl and double toasted say to see if I go Friday or give it time.. or wait til I can see it for free elsewhere

but that is the value of the reviews to me, whether I rush to see it or not.. or if I can temper that excitement and possibly save some money (like I wish I did with BvS and MOS)

That's good you're still going, but you seein the same tweets I am, people already deading DC, etc. Lot of folks got their mind made up, yet to see the damn thing.

Like Kane touched on, Media drivin everybody, and sheep just fall in line. IM3 was a wreck, but everyone kinda glosses over it, well, it wasn't "that" bad. I agree, took a legit villian and made him a cartoon joke complete with bathroom jokes and the whole nine. Took a billionaire genius out of his protective Iron suit and gave him water balloons and a hoody, how could that movie fail??????

We got a review ripping Snyder, for a movie he didn't do. I mean........ :smh:

It's whatever.

If people see it, and don't like it, hey, you don't like a film you wanted to. But I suspect a lot of folks just followin the group think and afraid to say hey, that was decent actually. Iono, people seem to have issues making up their own minds these days, easier to just let the jokes flow thru Twitter/NT etc and then follow along with the masses.

Comicbookgirl has already publicly stated multiple times that she doesn't like the DCEU or "trust" that they can make a good movie. I don't think she's the most objective source for these films. I can almost guarantee she won't give SS a positive review.
