DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Dudes been throwing mad shade on Ant-Man lately for some reason lol.

I agree on AoU being a cheese fest and getting a pass by critics though. Mad ridiculous.

dc  :smh: |I

at this point, steal a big wig from marvel and get it right. directors and good actors and going to start to sway from dc if they cant get it together. cot dammit :smh:

ant man was dope. i believe it was because of edgar wright. majority of that film was his and they only reworked bits of it to be included in the expanded universe

Why would a big wig leave Marvel?

Forreal. Those Disney pockets are deep. WB not winning that battle

That's one factor, but the other question is: why would I leave a flourishing company for a riskier position at a studio that is surrounded by negativity and no solid results/direction?

The only answer would be if WB is gonna pay me 10x what I make or if I was granted the power to control the direction.

because money and the opportunity to save dc.

If Gal, Margot, Karen Fukuhara, and Cara show up to my office all in costume then i'll do what dc tells me to do. Throw in Diana Lane as Mama Kent too.

Lego Batman the best and most anticipated flick WB/DC has going for them

Might as well scratch this DCEU and just make a DC Lego universe :smh:

Let's be honest with ourselves, Anti-Monitor was never going to show up. Mongul probably wouldn't either.

One of them or Brainiac could of been the big bad for Phase 2. But the DCEU would have to survive to a Phase 2.

Very true and Anti-Monitor could honestly be used for a reboot if they wanted to. That's a long way off though when they haven't even gotten the New Gods properly set up yet  Braniac seems like a good option though. Hell they could've done him now.

From Variety --
“For reasons beyond Ayer’s control, he’s beholden to the corporate vision of other recent DC adaptations, most notably Zack Snyder’s sleek-surfaced and oppressively self-serious riffs on the Superman legend. While it would have been amazing to see the director (fresh off WWII-set suicide-mission movie “Fury”) push his own nothing-to-lose anarchic boundaries, he’s ultimately forced to conform to Snyder’s style, to the extent that Suicide Squad ends up feeling more like the exec producer’s gonzo effects-saturated Sucker Punch.”

Snyder still getting roasted for a movie he didn't even direct

I'm not buying that report from Variety. Sounds like a bunch of BS. Snyder had nothing to do with SS. And even if he did David Ayers is still in control. This is his vision. See, this is that DC bias I been talking about.

DCEU subreddit is in shambles. One dude had to make a post telling people not to hurt themselves over the reviews
