DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Who said kryptonite doesn't exist in Snyder's Supes universe? He just didn't feature it. The story didn't really need it to be honest. Although we didn't see any "glowing green rocks", Supes did get "weak" when he was exposed to Krypton's atmosphere.

Also Bats came close to beating Supe within an inch of his life in the Bat Armour & the help of a one armed Oliver Queen & his "secret weapon" in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns which this movie seems to be partially based on.

Listen from 0:42. That's Eisenberg.

It was too realistic to be a Batman fillm. Hell, the entire series was too realistic...They were better than the Schumacher films at least
Which is fantastic as Batman is actually one of the most unbelievable of superheroes. They made some attempt to ground "billionaire puts on a bat costume and fights a one-man, never ending war against crime with advanced technology" in reality, and the mandatory psychological nuance of Nolan's Batman makes it all worth while.

This new Batman has to be as ridiculous as possible to fit into this new, fantastical continuity. So I don't mind him looking like he's wearing Megazord armor

You are correct but Zod explained that Supes would eventually become acclimated to the Kyryptonian climate had he been exposed to it more so it doesn't really count to me

Explain?
The first damn sequence when Joker just had the school bus driven out of a damn building right in line with the others to escape. C'mon man. I know people want to be contrarians but so much in all these superhero movies have to be taken in with a sense of disbelief.

What he's saying is it didn't feel like a superhero movie so it's hard to compare it to the others, I agree with him. Although I think The Dark Knight just felt like a good film period.

Case in point. Ras al Ghul was a mythical person in the comics with the Lazarus pit and being able to regenerate from said pit. None of that happened in the Nolan's universe... that's my point

Who's to say he didn't? They left a lot to be uncovered. If that's your only defense then

And we're talking about tdk here fella

Anyone have a breakdown video from the trailer?

Is there a comic/video this is based on?

I don't think Snyder is using Miller's TDKR as the sole basis of the storyline because it doesn't lend itself to the beginning of a JLA storyline (especially since Bats is like 60 years old or older). It does look like he's using some elements though for sure.

I was told it was also based on Kingdom Come as well.

None of the movies that are "based" on a comic are an accurate depiction of the comic anyway.
