DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

DCEU better redeem him, felt like dude has been wasted in both tv and video game.

The disrespect at making his boss fight in AK a tank battle :smh: and a crappily annoying one at that

That Arkham Knight "boss battle" rustled my jimmies so hard

Then they had the nerve to have Slade jump out the tank with his sword like we were gonna have to put some work in on his ***

And cutscene Batman just washes the dude immediately :smh: :smh: :smh:

Ron pearlman's voice is really what brought that creepiness to slade need whoever plays him to have a great voice like that

I don't get how this Twitter stuff means anything.

I think people are getting the impression that he's now associated with the DCEU since he's following them on Twitter.
I get why but to me it just seems so damn meamindless and a bit of a reach like that points to signs of x conclusion

Connecting the dots. :nerd:

Exactly

I can't support this

Make it sound like we're obligated to see it. Like if they did make a Catwoman movie you would have no choice but to see it even if you expect it to suck

Most of us may love this starting from the comics or cartoons but it don't have to extend to other mediums. I know die-hard Superman fans that have swore off everything Snyder and this current Cavill iteration of Superman.

This is true. One of my friends has yet to see either Dawn of Justice or Suicide Squad because of that neck snap at the end of Man of Steel. That Pa Kent tornado scene didn't help either. And this is a guy who loves Superman. Watched every episode of Smallville as it released, owns Superman The Animated Series on DVD. Knowing him he'll probably name his son Clark.
Never underestimate a dedicated fan base.

Him steven seagal neck snapping zod was awesome. He really had no choice. I know it made people mad but it's not like they have jail cells that can hold him.

Joe Mangorilla is a good get for DCEU.

He's already getting white hair (even though he's only 39yo), which is perfect for Deathstroke.

This whole he had no choice thing is bull ****.

Plenty ways not to kill him and stop him. He's Superman.

It's all about writing at the end of the day

It's honestly a simple matter of writing the story so Superman gains access to a Phantom Zone generator to seal away Zod. It literally doesn't require you to do that much work at all, because Clark has been doing it across various forms of media for decades.

Superman snapped Zod's neck because they wrote themselves into a hole where he'd snap Zod's neck. Even then they could've just had him knock Zod unconscious (Yes, Kryptonians can be knocked out) and then go find a projector on the ship. End of story. It's not some unforgiveable sin for me in regards to the film, but I certainly see why people are upset over it.

EXACTLY

That requires more effort. He had to react quick before zod burnt up those people with his eye lasers. If the neck is there, snap it. Not enough time to plan to knock him out and know to find whatever a projector thing is.

I think the killing of zod should have been his reasoning to never kill again and to be better but next time we see him he literally slams a guy through a wall and flies away with him lol

Isn't Deathstroke 1 of very few ppl that beats Batman in 1 on 1 Melee combat?

Yes. Their fights on the big screen should be pretty epic and :pimp: too since its mostly hand to hand and doesn't get too outrageous

Im expecting Deathstroke to wash Batman something serious initially

I believe u...

Yup

Don't see Batffleck writing in a L to take from Slade especially if it's Joe Mango.

Lot of Deathstroke fans might be sad if they just focus on the winner.

That DEATHSTROKE Teaser Was Filmed On The Flying Fox

Remember that behind-the-scenes Justice League set photo featuring Zack Snyder and Jason Momoa that was released all the way back in February? There were a few instantly recognizable costumes on display such as The Flash, Batman and Aquaman but fans were going crazy trying to figure out who owned the black, nondescript costume glimpsed just above Zack Snyder's right shoulder. Did it belong to Nightwing? Black Manta? Green Lantern? Well, it appears that armor first seen 6 months ago was our first glimpse of Deathstroke. It's unlikely that Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder would be looking ahead to the solo Batman film at such an early stage with so much riding on Justice League. They wouldn't be working out the aesthetics of Deathstroke so early unless the lethal mercenary was also appearing in Justice League.

Add that to the fact that ScreenRant, who toured the Justice League set back in June, has confirmed that the teaser footage was shot aboard The Flying Fox (Justice League's aerial base of operations as detailed in the June set visit reports) - you can just make out the new Batmobile over Deathstroke's shoulder.

That Deathstroke shot... it's on the Justice League team vehicle a.k.a. the "Flying Fox" http://screen.st/ABMtQiO

Deathstroke > the rest of the get ups so far.. Well WW's is close 2nd with the little more color for her solo film

Wish they took more that route with bats.. Considering they went that way with flash's

I get supes being out there in glorified spandex, but the human human need a lil more tactical wear.. Which would make giving flash's suit a lil more armour

That requires more effort.
Yes. It does require more effort to write good stories with satisfying climaxes/3rd acts/conclusions.

LIke what did I just read. Writers shouldn't go a certain route because it requires more effort? The ****?

And it really doesn't require more effort at all depending on when exactly the decision to have Superman kill General Zod was made. Scripts can go through a ton of drafts and re-writes before they reach their final form. At the least, The Phantom Zone was in the film, based on the final draft, so they wouldn't have had to add that as some new, last minute concept that needed explanation. They even spent a few minutes explaining the Zone, its purpose, how it worked, and showed viewers Zod and his army being imprisoned in it. In fact, some of Zod's followers ended up sealed back into the Zone along with a few U.S. troops if I remember correctly  Just tack on an actual projector/beam/ray that can instantly seal people in it and its a done deal. Typically Jor-El sends one along with Supes on the rocket that takes him to Earth anyways.

I think the killing of zod should have been his reasoning to never kill again and to be better but next time we see him he literally slams a guy through a wall and flies away with him lol

Wasn't a statement released shortly after BvS that the guy who was holding Lois hostage at the start of the film didn't die though? :nerd: Granted, if he didn't die then he was heavily injured, because that was a solid stone wall he slammed into at an impressive speed, but that's better than being dead...maybe...probably not.

Well Batman's does have some armor. He was shot in the head in BvS and shrugged it off, which i'd say is about right for him. Suit's also fireproof. Him having a suit like Flash does as his basic outfit would've been silly in my opinion and really it looks silly on Flash too. Bats also can't have too much armor and then be expected to still jump around all over the place, as his fighting style requires.

No no no, you guys don't understand. That guy wasn't killed -- he just broke his neck/spine. He'll be fine.

He killed an evil bad guy who was going to mess up the planet. I have no problem with it. goku murks people all the time and no one cries about it. Was he supposed to knock out perfect cell too and put some kind of projector on him?
