OFFICIAL DENVER BRONCOS 2022 THREAD - Russell Wilson, MOTHAFLUCKAS!

The offense should be better than last year and there is no way that Chiefs have a better defense than the Broncos.

It's absolutely RIDICULOUS in my opinion.

A 75 offense!?

Raiders have a better team than us!?

your 2016 Denver Broncos starting quarterback is...

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17415069/trevor-siemian-start-quarterback-denver-broncos

Quarterback Trevor Siemian, who has yet to throw a regular-season pass in the NFL, will start for the defending champion Denver Broncos when they open the regular season Sept. 8 against the Carolina Panthers.

The Broncos announced Monday that Siemian, a 2015 seventh-round pick, had been named the starter.

Denver's decision ends a quarterback battle between Siemian and Mark Sanchez to replace the retired Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler, who joined the Houston Texans in the offseason.

The Broncos traded a conditional draft pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in March to acquire Sanchez. He is slated to count $4.5 million against the salary cap, but the Broncos would not have to surrender the pick if he is not on the roster to open the season.

I don't know ya'll..

I HOPE I'm wrong - but I feel like he's a super inexperienced Kyle Orton.

Super average, at best.

Might see Lynch thrown in sooner than anticipated.

Hopefully Simien can minimize mistakes and let the defense dominate.

Probably best case scenario.

I think this is actually great news fellas. Sanchez hasn't looked great and you don't want Lynch out there with this o-line to start the season. Hopefully the running game is better. I am still optimistic. The schedule is brutal but I think the squad will rise to the occasion.

I agree, definitely can't throw Lynch out there yet.

I actually thought, despite the two fumbles(I know....), Sanchez played decent, in the limited action that we saw him.

First drive of the first game was, dare I say, agressive?

Siemien had a pick, and near pick-six this past game, so I don't think he solidly won, just that he's the best option of whats available.

In the one training camp practice and the last preseason game I attended, I wanted to see something, but left unimpressed.

Obviously Kubiak saw a lot of all of the qb's and felt he's the best option, I defer to his expertise.

Hopefully he proves me wrong, like you said, the schedule is brutal. I can see Kubes dinking and dunking all day, from here on out.

I guess where I see the biggest issue us depth. If Siemien struggles, and it will happen eventually, depending on how badly, we can now only go to the rookie.

Guessing we release Sanchez and pick up.....another veteran qb.

Maldonado I agree 100 percent. Siemian hasn't impressed me either which speaks volumes of where Sanchez is at. I don't want the defense left hanging out there to dry like last season. As great as the defense is the offense has to put up more points than last year. Teams in the NFL adjust too quickly for the defense to constantly feast off of turnovers and defensive stops. I expect a lot of slow and methodical drives this season which is fine. Just get first downs.

No doubt.

First downs.
March down the field.
Lean on the running game.

Speaking of which, CJ should be CJ, and the rookie Booker looks real good. I was thoroughly impressed with his burst Saturday night.
Even Ronnie was running hard.

Hopefully our line starts to gel and allows the running game to flourish.

I think we can lean on them, play smash mouth, control-the-clock offense.

I do think Siemien projects good in Kubiaks offense. Run, run, run, bootleg( or play action), hit Virgil, DT, or Emannuel down the field.

and let the defense feast when it's their turn.

can't wait to get this season going fam

I really think Trevor will get better the more we play. If we start the first 5 games 3-2 or better I'll have full confidence in this team

the schedule:

Thu, Sep 8 vs Panthers
Sun, Sep 18 vs Colts
Sun, Sep 25 @ Bengals
Sun, Oct 2 @ Buccaneers
Sun, Oct 9 vs Falcons
Thu, Oct 13 @ Chargers
Mon, Oct 24 vs Texans
Sun, Oct 30 vs Chargers
Sun, Nov 6 @ Raiders
Sun, Nov 13 @ Saints
Sun, Nov 27 vs Chiefs
Sun, Dec 4 @ Jaguars
Sun, Dec 11 @ Titans
Sun, Dec 18 @ Patriots
Sun, Dec 25 @ Chiefs (MERRY CHRISTMAS!)
Sun, Jan 1 @ Raiders

I would take 3-2 after the first 5!
