OFFICIAL DENVER BRONCOS 2022 THREAD - Russell Wilson, MOTHAFLUCKAS!

This was a good game.....even better with the Broncos winning. Trevor Siemian did well....glad to see that.

What?!!!!

1 point, baby.
1-0.

F the critics.

GREAT game.

Janovich is the real deal.
CJ BEASTmode.
Siemian looked good! Poised, for his first game. Obviously gotta get better but I'll take the turnovers.

The DEFENSE!!!!!

we did it!

in a weird way this felt almost as satisfying as the super bowl.

siemian had incredible poise, good pocket presence, and accurate throws. his only really serious mistake was throwing off his back foot on the interception. he threw into some tipped balls but avoided others. i think he'll have a steep learning curve and soon be a reliable starter with some 3 TD 0 int games. couple that with our defense and offensive weapons and I'm very optimistic right now.

Agreed!

Notice at the end of the game in the red zone, the call was to DT on a slant n there was coverage n Trevor thought about it n then took off running the opposite direction to the right.

Used those legs too.

Looked awesome for his first game against a Super Bowl contender.

The turnovers are one thing, they way he bounced back and remained poised is another.

Defense looked good but did make some mistakes. Siemian looked great in the 2nd half.

I think the D looked better in the second half too.

They started out slow, got scored on on the opening drive. Started putting it together in the second half, though

Other than allowing them to get into field goal range on the last drive.

exactly. there's so many examples of times where he made a good decision where i think most 2nd and 3rd tier quarterbacks (like Cam ) would've done the wrong thing. pump-faking on that first throw, for example.

i didn't get to see the preseason and they didn't go for any long balls tonight, but that's the one additional thing I'd like to see him do.

I definetly think he is a step up from Mark Sanchez. The guy at the top of the thread is right, it felt very satisfying. Like they kept showing a thing on tv that no team has won the Super Bowl then come back the next year to win a season opener. Obviously it's only one game, and hopefully they get more settled in as the year goes on.

Solid performance from both sides of the ball. To have three turnovers with a new quarterback and still win is pretty amazing. I think the defense and the offense will improve as we move along. O-line played great though.

The fullback has a hero -- a protector -- and his name is Andy F****** Janovich

The Broncos rookie rumbled for a 28-yard touchdown on the first rushing attempt of his career in Thursday's season opener against the Panthers. Janovich even did that classic fullback move where he protected the ball with both hands as he crossed the

goal line, seemingly certain a fleet-footed safety was fixing to pull a Don Beebe.

Panthers cornerback Bene' Benwikere, so certain of Janovich's third-and-1 role as a laughable decoy, coasts right by as the fullback trucks into open pasture. It was the NFL's first rushing touchdown by a fullback since 2002.

That's actually not true, but you kind of bought it, didn't you? These are dark times for the fullback position, which has been fazed out of NFL offenses in recent years.

But that was before Andy Janovich came along, challenging conventions and sticking it to Peyton Manning, who thought he was too cool for a fullback in his offense.

Well you're not so cool, Peyton Manning. Denver is Janovich Country now.

Rocked this on campus today!

So many people came up me and said "you must be a bandwagon" or "Panthers should have won"...

That irks me SO much. I'm only 18 but I've been a Broncos fan since I was 4, because...

A) I didn't want to be a Washington fan

and

B) I loved their logo in Madden, which I played with my cousin back in like 2002.

It was a silly reason but back then they weren't nearly as good as they are now, and I stuck with them throughout all that.

Anyways... This could be a cool discussion.

Any particular reason why you guys are a Broncos fan?!

Don't let them faze you my guy. Broncos country is worldwide.

I grew up in Wyoming until middle school and I've always had family in Colorado. Growing up my grandpa and all of my family were huge Broncos fans and I became a fan when I was about 4. I still remember all those times we would drive into Denver on a Sunday frantically changing the radio channels to find the Broncos game. When we moved to Colorado back in 1999 I was pumped because I could now officially be in the same state as my favorite team.

dope stories ya'll!

as far as me, I was born and raised in Denver.

been watching and following them since I was around 5, cuz pops was a fan.

simple as that.

Aepps - Deion was always my favorite player as a kid! lol saw him hit an inside the park homerun as a kid. met him in downtown Denver around that time too.. was on his straight Must Be The Money tip. 8)

peace ya'll!

I have been a fan ever since I can remember. Growing up in a small town everyone liked the Kansas City Chiefs......my dad HATED the KC Chiefs so he always rooted for the Broncos. I guess I started liking them around/before the back to back super bowls. Grew up and lived in Wyoming for a bit and saw every game on TV, it was awesome. Moved back to Missouri and still a fan. Saw them play the Rams when they were still in STL, unfortunately it was a loss. Suffered the loss in the SB, then enjoyed the victory. Sorry for being so long

Maldonado I was a huge primetime fan. His swag was ahead of its time.

It was either being born and living for two years in Idaho (Broncos or Seahawks, pick one

) or liking their colors/logo when I watched them on TV or in video games as a kid. Like others, I figure I've been a fan since I was around four years old.

I was a fan beforehand, but the first game that I can vividly remember was the 2000 Wild Card game versus the Ravens. I was so mad when Shannon Sharpe scored that TD where he caught the pass after it got tipped up off Jamal Lewis. I knew the Broncos weren't coming back either, the Ravens defense was so dominant. The first Broncos game I went to was when they came to DC in 2009. Orton got hurt and it went all downhill with Chris Simms from there.

Since I live nowhere near Denver I get asked if I became a fan because of Peyton. A few years back, I would get asked if I became a fan because of Tebow.

Anyone who knows me knows I've been a fan since day one though.

I flew into Stapleton as a child moving to Colorado and, when we landed, the stewardess said, "Welcome to Broncos country."

The rest is history.

55-10, 30-27.... then came January 25, 1998, and we were no longer considered a mediocre franchise with a hotshot QB who could never win it all. From then on we've been an elite franchise. :nthat:
