Looks like Kyle Shanahan might be our new coach.

I'm not mad at it.

Really? Another Shanahan? Hmm....could be interesting.

Can I ask you guys a question, and I don't mean to be mean lol. Do you guys think it is at all possible that maybe Kubiak was "escorted" out of the position. I mean, the article that was posted in here said that I guess that's why they got rid of Fox was because he thought getting to the championship round was enough. Is it possible that after winning the title and then not even making the playoffs that maybe some people thought it was them for him to move on? I mean, his track record in Houston wasn't anything amazing. Just thinking out loud

lol I wish it was that easy but we got some holes Bruh lol. Plus who knows how good Ware will be

Also Vance Joseph as our new coach. Of all the options he became my favorite. After the draft and FA I'll get excited about next year but one solid domino down.

I don't know how to feel about this. I thought defense was pretty good already. I think we need some offensive direction lol

Excited for this coaching staff.

While not the biggest McCoy fan, his ability to coordinate to his players strengths should hopefully progress Paxtons development (along with new QB coach Bill Musgrave).

Im expecting big things out of new D coordinator Joe Woods, who has managed the defensive secondary (no-fly zone) the past couple years. Hes highly respected on the defensive side and I fully expect him to rally the defense to return to their domination.

Vance Joseph, delegating roles to his coordinators, should hopefully prove to be the unifying voice we need going forward. They say his strengths lie in being an overall players coach and motivator, Im hoping complete buy-in across the board.

And while we DEFINITELY need a complete revamp of the o-line, I am advocating for using that 1st rounder on Christian McCaffrey, to grab that playmaker we are desperately lacking on offense.

Our own Tyreek Hill, Leveon Bell-esque baller.

While I know Elway will use a couple picks on the o-line, I'd rather see them rebuild it going after a couple of vets n then trying to develop a couple draftpicks with middle rd picks. We need immediate line help and rookie linemen, regardless of where theyre drafted, usually take a year or two, Id rather be bold and send DT to Cleveland for Joe Thomas, or something of that nature.

Remember we used a 2nd rder on Ty Sambraillo two years ago and hes looked really bad thus far..

Time to add some explosiveness to that side of the ball.

Also, this draft is supposed to be loaded with tight ends this year.

I love AJ Derby and think he can develop into our full time starter, but I know Elway will dip into the TE excess and try to find a gem.

^^^ Very interesting. Have we all moved on from Simian?

Thats a tough question and one that'll definitely be answered in training camp. Coaches are saying that it will be an open comp, even though Siemien played decent this year.

I think its moreso expectations that last years more athletically gifted 1st rd QB will hopefully be able to beat out Siemien. Lynch's ceiling is obviously higher but it remains to be seen if he can take over the starting gig.

I can say, with O Coordinator Mike McCoy and QB coach Musgrave, they're gonna give Lynch everything he needs, only time will tell if he will be able to make the necessary strides to earn the gig

Btw, we beefed up our O-line signing Ron Leary from the Cowboys and Menelik Watson from the Raiders.

Both big, stout linemen - Leary is the better signing and should immediately step into the starting line-up.

Watson is an intriguing signing.. Big dude that's only played a few years but has been hurt. Thus far has not lived up to being drafted in the 2nd rd, but he's been hurt.

If he can stay healthy, he might be able to finally bring it all together here in Denver.

Either way, two under-the-radar o-line free agent pick ups.

Optimistic.

Our defense should do work as usual.

I really hope Elway drafts us that playmaker that we need, to help our offense contend and be a winner this year and not be a liability as they were at times last year.

I think our current qbs are fine.

Biggest issue is shoring up the offensive line. Two guys signed in free agency, plucked from two of the better o-lines last year. Hoping Elway can maybe pull off a trade for another player to plug into the line.

The only other problem is we play in arguably the toughest division.

Should be a great year bro

What are you guys thinking of this off season. I'm personally glad we didn't go to Romo
post #866 of 889
I'm very optimistic. The key is fixing the Oline which has been awful ever since PM's last season. You fix the line and then we can see what the QB situation is like

I'd still rather see Kaep under center than Siemian. I think Lynch will be good, but he still needs another year or two to mature. Just praying the OL is better so we can actually have a running game again.

Dude. I'm all for a better front line no doubt. You really thing Cap in better than Trev though?

Ab-so-freaking-lutely. He had 16 TDs and only 4 INTs last year on a poooooop team. He's always been an above-average QB, it's just that team disintegrated when Harbaugh left. If Elway wasn't such a staunch Republican I think we'd have already had him on the team. but if he wants to look at a possible political career (which is the rumor) he'll never sign an Afro'd, socially-conscious, pro-BLM player to be his team's centerpiece. And it's a damn shame, because his speed and improv ability could make up for some of the issues with the OL and RBs.
