George Zimmerman Rescues Family From Truck Crash

all foolishness aside, this is something that needs to be talked about (the race issue in america) however now is not the best time with emotions so high. the thing some people dont get is that if anything is going to improve its going to have to improve because of education, people have to LEARN that minorities are equal, they have to LEARN to not stereotype. people talking about violence and wanting zimmerman dead are doing nothing but making things worse. Yes racial profiling may had played a part in it. No, Zimmerman is probably not a hardcore racist that wants to shoot every black man he sees. These kinds of things are not black and white, lets all stop being so one sided move on from this whole travon zimmerman thing and focus on the core racial problems (rather than just sitting at home being angry at a guy you have never met before)
 
This was an opportunity to open dialogue as a society, see where we're going wrong on all sides, work towards having a better understanding of each other and a post racial society, to find out why a child is dead for absolutely no reason and how we can prevent this in the future. But if people are claiming we're already there, where's the incentive?

Look at this guy. Has nothing to say so he inserts a cute little .gif and tells someone else to let him know when they're ready to talk. You have no shame.  Other minorities groups have ALWAYS been a part of this and other minority groups have stood WITH us spanning back entire generations. Learn some ******g history.  From a holistic standpoint it's not a black/white thing, it's a civil rights thing, but you're either too ******g stupid or too naive to understand that when you break it down and look at the individual issues and components there are some that are absolutely black/white.

Wasn't even proved that Zimmerman was a racist, aside from the fact that he saw a suspicious person and pursued foolishly like Paul Blart Mall Cop.

A post racial society doesnt exist Its something u think about when your at 9 years old. Same as post religion, post sex, and post class. Narrowing the gap is one thing but post racial isn't really worth talking about to be honest

im pretty sure no one here actually thinks that a post racial society exists or is even possible (iron man never said anything about a world without racism). the thing is there is a magical force on NT that makes people only think in absolutes so in this thread theres one side thinking that the other side actually believes that we are in a post racial society and one side thinking the other side sees every little aspect of life as a race issue
 
Zimmerman SAW a black teen. He thought he was black until he kept following him after confirming to the police dispatch that he was "definitely black."

Zimmerman's own recorded words. You can't look at a white person and look at a black person and not EASILY differentiate them. That's not a bad thing though. It's bad when people make assumptions because of what they look like. Zimmerman couldn't even tell the police dispatch an actual crime. All he saw Trayvon do was walk. Race definitely had something to do with it.
