***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

we'll obviously see a drop off, but not like before IMO. vareen being back is huge, and presents his own set of matchup issues for other teams. hopefully the receivers get healthy quick...we need them now.

defense really needs to step up now. none of this letting the likes of jason campbell light us up...granted, gordon has lit everyone up. but still. can't depend on 30 plus from the offense so defense needs to lock it down.

dont really know whats going on with our pass rush ; its vanished over the past two games

i think partially its a result of changing the defense up not to get so gashed by the run . bottom line -- without our secondary being healthy we need to get pressure on the QB . last time we played the dolphins we dialed up a bunch of blitzes that panned out really well (several sacks including the strip sack from Ryan on the corner blitz) . it looks like our entire starting secondary has been at practice -- Dennard , Talib , Gregory & McCourty -- so hopefully they can all start this Sunday

good news with solder and the secondary :pimp:

need to keep pace with denver in case they slip…and at a minimum maintain the two seed

soooooooooooo who in here was all smiles when Peyton through that 4th qtr pick?! didnt get to watch the game, but heard it and was more than beaming

Pats win out (not easy by any stretch) and road to Meadowlands goes through us!

as far as O goes, like mentioned i think this time around having Vereen "the playmaker" giving opponents to think about in the running and passing game is a big plus

i really hope Talib and Spikes can play through their injuries and raise their game here on out...Nink and Jones gotta really bring it and put that pressure on every QB we face...hate seeing the time all our opponents have to sit back there and go through progressions

Ridley and Blount are the X factors . if they can establish the running game early , our offense can take off against the Dolphins . Blount actually did a good job against the Browns

Ridley i dont think any of us doesnt cringe a little when he has that ball, but Blount i agree has literally been a rock running this year...outside of his few miscues holding on he sure gives the opponents a handful with that body

Vereen in the passing and running game is my pick for X-Factor

sidenote: anybody else hate the fact the line on Pats has dropped from 3.5 - 0 over the past week

makes my pick and potential win easier, but the general public really giving us less and less of a chance to win in MIA???

7 of the 13 espn insiders picked the dolphins to win . a lot of people are down on the pats in this spot

love going into games as the underdog though . almost always rise to the occasion

It's crazy that you guys would rather have Blount run the ball than Ridley because of fumbling issues.

Fumbling issues was one of the top reasons we traded Blount. I hope he can keep up his good play though...he's unstoppable in the open field once he sees some daylight.

Drive it 80 yards up the field only to blow it and settle for a FG :rolleyes

This is going to be a huge problem moving forward. Someone needs to step up and get open in the endzone without Gronk out there. Hoping Boyce can pick up some of the slack; its good to see him out there getting burn and getting chances to make plays.

Tough loss........another L we got jobbed on a bs missed call........3 of our L's came down to some bs.....cincy was the only L i took as a "we just got beat"

That loss hurts. Hurts bad. And IMO it's on the defense. If they hold Miami to three on that last Miami drive, fine blame the kicker. That TD and the one right before halftime were killer. Killed us.

And Brady today with the cast he had was unreal.

tough loss getting it in the endzone without gronkowski is becoming a issue , thos should be addressed in the draft

Definitely letdown afer this game...Pats get out to a 10 point lead and i should have known better to expect them to hold off Dolphins...why does our D continue to make such middle of the pack QB's look like anything more?

This game our pass rush was better, but my man Nink has seem to have disappeared on me. This D after having that amazing run of games forcing a turnover has be non existent. We need those to give this O a chance to put points on the board. We are in the unfortunate spot where we arent able to hold teams down from scoring. Hightower getting beat by Thigpen and NOT making the tackle was IMO a blessing. At least at the end of the day we had about 3-4 chances at the endzone. Unfortunately without THE Gronk we are oh so weak in the redzone. Amendola and miniTron were huge all game, but when we could use a big receiver to win a jumpball or fight off a defender we can only turn to our injury report and :smh: at KT and Dobson. Now reports Boyce was seen walking with a noticeable limp = more :smh:

Few "highlights" that come to mind when going over the game in no particular order:

-Gost missing a 48 yard aint too bad, hard to fault him there.......... but that KO out of bounds??? really, really he did that?

-Dane Fletcher with that awful/huge penalty on 3rd down

-O line getting man handled again. Solder leaving the game with the head injury

-Hightower looked better, but still getting beat badly when in coverage. the lack of Mayo is noticeable

-Cole/Gregory getting beat by Wallace. Miami picking on them as soon as Arrington went out the game. How Gregory allowed himself to get out of position to make that tackle bothers me

-4 and 5 we couldnt even get the stop

-2 huge drives of 12+ plays and chewing up time lead to just FG....if our D can't stop the other team or get a takeaway, how can we live on FGs?

sorry for the long post y'all just frustrated and this huge missed opportunity we had

thanks go out to Steelers = :D

Brady "foulmouth" postgame interview = :D

can one of you link me to the post game with Brady ?

there were a lot of little mistakes that this team shouldnt be making . the kick out of bounds by Gostkowski was terrible , along with Fletcher's 3rd down PI

Brady with a minute left and the ball is frightening , but you can only win so many games that way . had a golden opportunity to take 1st in the AFC and missed it . thank the LORD the bengals got the work from the Steelers . now its on the lions to put in that work tonight

Hooman was appreciate , along with Blount establishing the running game early

6 red zone trips and only 2 TDs isnt going to cut it

Good for nothing Pats, can't count on them for anything :smh: . Jets didn't do their part though, so it's a moot point.

wrote this in the WIR thread , but i wouldnt be surprised if we dont re-sign edelman next year . i think we absolutely need him on the squad for all of the value he brings , but his market price is rising with every good game he has and i doubt we'll be willing to pay him as much as some other teams come this off-season
