FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots running back Stevan Ridley missed Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, the team announced via its practice participation report. It's unclear when the injury was sustained, though it likely occurred during the team's Week 4 win over the Falcons.

As expected, nose tackle Vince Wilfork (Achilles) and wide receiver Matthew Slater (wrist) were non-participants as well. Neither was spotted during the media availability portion of practice.

A total of 15 Patriots were limited during Wednesday's practice, including rookie receivers Aaron Dobson (neck) and Kenbrell Thompkins (shoulder), who both suffered the injuries during Sunday's game.

In addition, linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee) and safety Tavon Wilson (hamstring) were among the new injuries listed on the report.

As has been the case over the past several weeks, tight end Rob Gronkowski (back/forearm) and wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin) were among the limited participants in practice.

For the Bengals, each of their top cornerbacks, Leon Hall (hamstring) and Dre Kirkpatrick (hamstring) did not practice. Both were inactive in Week 4.

Friday #Patriots practice: Matthew Slater has returned. RB Stevan Ridley again not spotted.

safe to assume ridley is out on sunday. bolden and blount...get it done, boys

apparently danny amendola is a better bet to play than gronk this weekend...but that in no way, shape, or form means danny will play

Slater's back :smokin

if Gronk doesnt play this Sunday ill start to get pissed . the dudes been a participant in every practice for the past 3-4 weeks ; what the **** are they waiting on ? he doesnt need to play 60 snaps or anything , but the guy needs to start getting reps ...

well, you can start getting pissed now, my dude. cause he ain't playing

i mean i get the whole not rushing him back, but how long does an arm really take to heal? on most accounts, the back isn't even an issue anymore. the arm is the concern as well as his body in terms of adding muscle back on. i'm sure he's been spending entire afternoons in the weight room too after practice. but i agree. like let's start easing him back into games. even if it's only like 10-15 snaps a game or situation-based like in the red zone. get him some real reps.

is that confirmed ?

i mean the pats won't confirm anything for us...but i assume he needs to fully participate in practice before suiting up. if they're limiting him in practice still, he's probably unlikely to play. and everyone is saying week 6 now.

i guess we'll see . Pats have played players listed as "limited" all week plenty of times

throw Collie out there , why not ? lets see what hes still got

hes going to be #10 for those interested

like i said , house money...lets hold out as long we can..

if we go 4-2 in the next 6 we get the bye week and a 8-2 record

we'll have gronkowski and amendola in mid season type form

during the playoffs

let these boys get these ugly wins early and get that momentum in january

i just want to be firing on all cylinders for that Nov 24th game with Five-Head. Must win that game.

dont know if its a must win , but brady generally owns the broncos

im rooting for the broncos to keep running up the score against these scrub teams, they're running offensive sets

with their starters 42-9 in the fourth quarter...the more film they expose themselves the better...that defense is meh

and they dont have any run game yet

we've got more physical on offense , big running backs , big tight ends , brady's throwing shorter

i think this is has been for the broncos , keep the ball away from peyton ...bleed them out slow

cant say enough about devin mccourty at safety ...thats definitely his position....logan ryan is fearless

covering the slot/tight ends...and aqib talib has been on fire...

i like our chances in november...our vince wilfork loss isnt as bad as their ryan clady

yeah i meant must win as in for my own personal satisfaction. i need fuel for the peyton stans and brady haters on this board

actually , the Broncos have owned Tom Brady historically . hes 4 - 6 against them and theyre the only team Brady has a losing record against

i want to say we've taken the last 3 meetings including the afc divisional round and he's

put up a few 40 point performances in two of those

am i tripping or has been waaaaay more play action this year then usual

under center too

Speaking of the Broncos, til this day Ben Watson superhuman feat of speed to get Champ Bailey at the goalline and cause an uncalled touchback is one of the greatest athletic feats I have ever seen.

I remember that play like it was yesterday, Watson ran longer than champ ran straight and they didn't bother to even review the play which had me going crazy....
