***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

Was good to see him catch a TD on Monday night, had all the tools, something just didn't click, solid career though, and very active in the community

New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski is not travelling to Cincinnati and will not play Sunday against the Bengals, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Gronkowski, who is recovering from back and forearm injuries and has not played this season, was officially listed as questionable Friday.

Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, who also is listed as questionable, is travelling with the team, the source told Schefter.

Amendola has missed each of the past three games while nursing a groin injury suffered in Week 1. The receiver said he had a "good practice" on Friday and is "looking forward to Sunday."

New England also will be without running back Stevan Ridley, who is out with a knee injury. Fellow running backs Brandon Bolden (knee) and Leon Washington (thigh) have been limited in practice this week and are each listed as questionable.

gronk out...danny in?

Expected to Play: Danny Amendola

should be the last day we hear his name called during a game for the rest of the year

over/under on number of quarters before he gets hurt: 2

huge game for us, alot of people think bengals will run with us.

if brady gets decent protection we should win with ease.

amendola ? lets earn some of that $$$

Our defense is legit are offensive needs work.
Dobson should of been in when we were in the redzone...... Hes 6'3. Speaking of Dobson nice game.

is there like a side pool on this team amongst the receivers to see who can drop the most balls this year? un******greal

at the end of the day we were bound to lose a game against an above average defense. it was going to happen given our offensive struggles.

i think we can breathe a little easy though because a) miami lost, b) no excuse to hold gronk back now

saints at home next week. belichick better have a plan ready because those guys COOKED us last time we played them, although it was in the dome last time.

i still dont quite know how i feel about this game

we looked horrible on defense , but for some reason im not that upset about the loss . it feels more like one of those anomalies that helps the team get their mind right more than anything . offensively , we just didnt show up . O line , receivers and running backs all dropped the ball (pun intended) . for Brady to have one of his worst games statistically and us still have a shot at the end will help me sleep easy tonight

our defense though , continues to look great . so happy to see Spikes finally back -- that boy had a hell of a game . hopefully Tommy Kelly is alright ...

the only mindset should be to do whatever it takes to keep the ball away from brees

yeah i can't believe we were that inept on offense today. i know ATL's defense isn't anything special, but they made big strides in that game. didn't expect a big step backwards. game plan sucked from the get go. running right at geno and peko...why? so dumb. that play on the goal line where they play faked and threw to solder. why? i know he was a TE back in college or high school...who cares. he's a load in the NFL...let him block. we're not in a position to be running cute little tricks. not enough empty sets today either with danny back in the lineup. should have just spread it way out a lot more than they did. but it's done. blew a winnable game. on to the saints.

Bruh why are yall mad? I understand that we lost and our offense isn't elite but we're 4-1 and atop the division.

it's not being mad. it's just frustrating. it was a winnable game. we're atop the division sure, but miami is right behind us. we also want homefield. catching denver will be tough, but ideally if you can finish 2nd in the conference, that's huge. saints in town next week...not exactly a game where you automatically right the ship. that's why it's frustrating.

dropped balls

bengals got pressure on tom brady for most of the game

injury prone offensive skill positions

that was just tough to watch

A costly second-quarter fumble by running back LeGarrette Blount, the 10th of his three-plus-year career, and multiple drops by Brady's receivers didn’t help the cause. Three of those drops came in the final 3 minutes, 30 seconds when the Patriots had two chances to drive for a game-tying touchdown, albeit in a driving rainstorm.
