***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

I mean he was legitimately one of the best pass catching tight ends in the league last year as a rookie in an offense with a rookie quarterback and no other healthy weapons besides VJax. I'm not sure how he's looked in camp but with ASJ, Myers and Stocker they felt like he was expendable.

the more i calm down , the more i see the potential of this trade . part of me is always going to be a bit upset about it until the season starts but Wright and Gronk could be extremely lethal

highlight clip looks promising

*** did they change how you embed videos ? not working for me

Jason Cole said Tom Brady had a very emotional reaction (cue Brady crying pic) to the trade yesterday. He's not happy at all and is currently "angry, disappointed and sad" about the situation.

This is a yearly thing with Brady and Belichick and, to be honest, I don't see it ending well when "the day" finally comes. I'm already impressed he's stayed a company guy for this long...

I just hope we get one more 'chip before that day arrives.

Do I think so? Yes. Do I know so? No. RT @TomasKesete: @jeffphowe Do you think Tim Wright will play tonight?

Jeff Howe ‏@jeffphowe 3h
Because, of course he will RT @RochieWBZ: Newly acquired TE Tim Wright will be wearing #81 tonight - #NEvsNYG #Patriots #wbz

I don't think Twitter could handle it, but I'd like to find out RT @lundy37: @jeffphowe if Tim wright scores tonight will he make it rain?

Alpha Go. Does Brady still use this audible? lol

And yes, I think Vereen will come in on those screen plays. But, now that I think about it, Ridleys fumbling issues are now a legit problem. Too much pychological shadow, which leads to insecurity.

Large group of Pats in a workout that suggests they aren't playing: Brady, Mallett, Wilfork, Chandler Jones, Ninkovich, Amendola, Edelman...Collins, Ridley, Vereen, LaFell, Revis, McCourty, Arrington, Wendell, Connolly, Solder, Cannon, Develin, Slater, Vellano.

ridley safe? :nerd:

Trade with Tampa was a win-win. Mankins was an elite OG, past tense. At 32, New England is wise to offload a diminishing asset. For the Bucs, Logan fills a major need on the offensive line. Tim Wright is a Rutgers guy, so I support him by default. Fantasy thread is raving about his potential numbers already.

Could the leaked Ridley report have been a motivational ploy from Bill? Last ditch effort to save a possibly productive lead back.

Dobson looked good last night and Wright promising . Wright's got some serious speed ; that reception he had in the 3rd quarter was great

I'm starting to get really excited about our offense this year . Denver is high flying and pass crazy , but we have to potential to be the most dynamic offense in the league with the threat of our WRs , TEs , and our RB core

I'm more excited for the defense than anything. Potential to be one of the better defenses we've seen in a long time, 7 1st round picks starting

Only thing that bothers me is our LB depth

The offense is shaping up nicely, the verdict is still out on the O-Line tho. Our receiving core is looking really solid  however, should be a way better start to the season than last year

feeling that excitement, brothas. we had a new guy start on my team this past week. dude originally from MA like me and is a huge pats fan. going to be fun having a fellow pats fan in the office

^ :pimp:

I think Mallet and Ridley are both safe and make the roster.

Read up on Malcolm Butler earlier today. Pretty dope story and im definitely pulling for him.

Our defensive backs unit is so legit :pimp:
