Why do the Pats come out of the backfield with anyone other than Ridley ?

Vereen only cooks carrying it out of the backfield if things are already opened up.

The line seems to be doing just fine in pass blocking so far.
 
WTF was that ?? Refs must have seen something we didnt because as far as i can see, there was no penalty and it should have been 4th and 1

He is not an every down pass rusher. That's one of the things we talked about before the season and I brought up as a question mark. Patriots needed a reliable every down rusher opposite of Chandler so they could slide Nink to the 3rd spot.

The lack of QB pressure the last few weeks is starting to look like 2013 all over again.

Not if they're gonna step up and give him time like this every week. They've been handling their own so far which is great to see against this group. Can't lose sight of the fact that Josh's playcalling is different from the first few games and it's purposefully designed to help out the o-line in terms of rhythm & timing. It's paying off right now.

Watching every single carry Shane has had in his career, it's overwhelmingly evident that he does not have the ability to create big plays on his own

He is good at following blockers on screens; he's even better at dancing around if he doesn't see an easy 20 yard gain on the horizon
