***OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SEASON THREAD*** (13-4) - Patriots @ Broncos - Sun 3:05PM EST - Bra

Question for my Pat bruhs (Seahawk fan if yall didnt know lol)

How often have u guys ran no huddle..particularly early in games?

I havent watched alot of Pat games this year but what are ur usual run formations the team uses?

U guys go 5 wide often?
The Patriots’ first offensive play of Super Bowl XLIX will be lining up five pass catchers to Tom Brady’s left side...

we started the ravens game no huddle, or in some form of a hurry up, if my memory serves me correctly. typically we don't open with it unless it's a game where we know we need our offense to get going fast (which the SB would clearly apply to).

empty sets...plenty. lot of shotgun with the RB motioning out.

for the superbowl, i know we'll try and run. it's been the gameplan to stay in the game and beat you guys for the most part all year. so we won't shy away from the run, at least early. if we find our drives stalling out...we'll go no huddle fairly quickly i think.

that said, watch me be wrong and we throw the ball 60 times

The thing is as much as I've been worried about Blount which could be a factor due to the lack of depth for our interior Line..

I actually believe throwing alot might help the Pats (knocks on wood that isnt true)

I think it was Holmgren who mentioned recently but throwing early could be a plus and no huddling as well..because the defense rotates players so much between the first two downs from run to pass

Other than Kam being hurt, in the Chargers loss..they attacked early on short passes when the Run unit was on and kept them out there for long, slow drives and course Phil dropped three DIMES to Gates

I've gained some confidence over the last few days from them stopping the run against the Pats...the pistol formation the Packers paid off last week but when they went away from it got shut down.

Either way I see advantages passing alot for the Pats..early in downs at least.

Im really interested to see if the Hawks O test BB deep...and if they go to the read option early cause they usually hold off on it late

Feels good to talk ball..I almost forgot there was a Super Bowl :smokin

elpablo21 elpablo21 100%, fam. i was actually going to come into your team thread and post about how it sucks that this matchup has been overshadowed by the whole ball issue. damn shame.

From F&M, who's more important for the Patriots to stop or contain, Lynch or Wilson?

I think it's tough either way. You don't want Wilson picking up 7-15 yards when he runs and you don't wany Lynch gashing you for 6-9 yards a run either. I feel like containing Wilson will be more crucial though. If he escapes the pocket a lot, he's bound to find Willson, Kearse or Baldwin down the field. Not to mention his ability to get first downs and keep drives alive.

This should be a great chess match here :pimp:

I have a couple options for the game but my girl is working, and I might just take that opportunity to have the crib to myself and watch the game in peace. If someone hits me looking for a place to watch, I'll tell them to come through. But imma be far too zeeked to be in a social setting

Serious, serious business 8)

I have a feeling this Patriots defense is going to come out violent. They held Luck to 7 points and haven't even been mentioned as a potential factor in this game as far as I can see. It's all about the Hawks' secondary, and rightfully so, as theyre obviously next level.

But Collins - Hightower - Browner are going to be out for blood. Trust

agreed it's tough. and im sure this is easier said than done. but you load the box and stop lynch and russell from running. force russell to beat you with his arm.

Im guessing day after media day we might get that but even that feels like a stretch

I feel you have to go in with the idea of stopping the run which is both Wilson and Shawn...gotta have someone assign to Wilson always

Beast mode is the catalyst for the offense but like you mentioned focusing on him will open up the deep ball (I feel BB can be had deep) and chances for Russy to keep the ball off the read option.

BB has been had deep many times this season

Sometimes he gets called for the hold, sometimes he doesnt

My man is partaking in extra curricular basically every play, though

Chung will be up to help with the run which will leave D-Mac out there doing his thing :nerd:

I just heard Bill say more about Spygate than ive ever heard him say

"80,000 people. Everyone saw it. We taped it. Just like everyone else was doing at the time"

Bill is feeling some type of way about this trash. He's ready to move on and prepare for the Superbowl.

dude...Bill is PISSED!!!!

he's going to be in 100% **** YOU mode next week :pimp:

I cant see Bill being so adamant about not doing **** wrong if there was something lingering that is going to incriminate him . IMO

So what I got out of Bills presser is this:

The organization ran their own internal investigation into the situation, and found themselves to be within the rules at every single step of the process.

The feels :pimp:
