jeff howe pointed out the logan ryan played his best football when he got consistent PT. that obviously didn't happen when you roll out revis and browner. so let's see if he can do work as a starter. i've got my doubts, but start praying laugh.gif

Now I'm wishing they picked another corner during the draft. I'm reading good things about Darryl Roberts and his athleticism but another corner would've been pretty helpful especially when someone like Ifo was available late mean.gif
post #4445 of 5799
We'll just roll Edelman out there to play Nickel.

Sad how Fonzie dropped off. I loved dude at Nebraska and he had a solid year in 2012 *tries to blank out the theory of our DB coach ruining everybody* laugh.gifmean.gif

Bruh that corner list IS depressing. The only person on that list of trash I'm not worried about is Arrington, as long as he's in the slot laugh.gif. As much as I hated him early on I enjoy watching him work in the slot, IMO he's one of the better slot corners in the league.

I don't even know what to say about Logan Ryan. The verdict is still out, he has really good ball skills but he looked complete trash in man coverage last year.

Fletcher was absolutely cringeworthy at times last year as well (dat Packers game sick.gif) but he was pretty solid early on in his career, maybe it was a coaching/scheme type deal.

I'm still confused on that Jordan Richards pick. I wonder if we don't go back to more of a 2 safety approach like we had in previous years where out 2 safeties were pretty much indistinguishable from each other ala Steve Gregrory. Rather than a SS and FS we pretty much just had "2 safeties". I know Richards played both Strong and Free at Stanford. Chung was surprisingly decent in the slot last year but role wise he benefitted a lot from having Revis/Browner out there so I can see them not counting on that being a repeat performance.

That front 7 tho sick.gifpimp.gif

was reading that as much of a reach as that pick was, Richards is ten times the player that Tavon Wilson is (who we also reached on a couple years back mean.gif ). One scout was saying that he had at least seen film on Richards, where as he had never even heard of Wilson. Wilson wasn't great, but he did contribute in more than just a special teams role. So we might see some decent work from Richards.

"More probable than not."

How long did it take to come to that conclusion?

hilarious seeing all the people on this board cream their pants over this. before this report, "pats probably cheated". after this report, "pats probably cheated'. still looking for the proof that balls were lower at halftime than at 2 hours before game time nerd.gif

this whole thing is actually an indictment on the refs and the process of checking balls. anyone with a clear head can see that.

It really took all this time just to rehash some of the same info we knew beforehand?Damn laugh.gifmean.gif. So this basically clears BB's name. Now I'm waiting to hear the ridiculous justifications for why Tom should be punished for doing something other QB's have readily admitted to including the new golden boy AR laugh.gif.

In personnel related to news, it seems that all that sweet talking from Brandon Spikes worked and he's visiting the team today roll.gif.

this report sucks and was slanted to keep the heat off the NFL/Colts for reaching in the first place......Colts are some suckers for "exposing" what is rampant league wide. Same goes for the Jets when they "exposed" the patriots because everybody did it but the patriots filmed from an illegal spot

The Colts have always been on some sucker **** from the days they used to ***** and complain to the league about the abuse their receivers would get from our db's till now:lol. Polian or Grigson,it doesn't matter, all suckers laugh.gif. The Jets gon Jet laugh.gif. There's all this fuss over this yet Blount/Gray is still gonna rush for 150+ and 3tds against them next season laugh.gif
post #4453 of 5799
Meh sick.gif

Like Marcus said, the report is slanted.

When you're being made the scapegoat for what is always later revealed to be quite common practices league wide yeah it smells weird but I won't stop you, continue with your witch hunt

It's difficult to engage in a legitimate conversation about this, but:

1. Was the tuck rule really something that you can put on Brady and Patriots? Isn't that something that people need to blame the league about? It's not like Brady and BB made the call on the field. They still had to play out the rest of that game and go on to play the Super Bowl. I'm not sure how that Super Bowl is tainted by anything they did.

2. With the recording of signals, wasn't that something that many teams and coaches all admitted to doing? (No, it's not right if everyone does it, but you can't ignore the fact that a team is only doing what is common throughout the entire league.) In response to a question about this during the recent events that have transpired, BB responded by saying that they were recording, in plain sight in front of a stadium full of people, signals being used by a coordinator that everyone could clearly see themselves; what exactly were they trying to hide? And weren't the Patriots punished for continuing to do this only after the NFL requested that ALL teams stop doing this?

3. With the deflation of footballs, why aren't people demanding more out of the league instead of just posting * everywhere? I don't see how this report is conclusive and if anything, it raises more questions about the integrity of the NFL itself. Also, I don't see how you can put a * next to this Super Bowl when they beat Seattle in conditions monitored and approved by the NFL.

4. After it was discovered that Atlanta was using artificial noise in their stadium and Cleveland was engaging in illegal text messaging, is it really that far-fetched to think that the league isn't as clean as we think it is? And if that's the case, why is there such an agenda against New England?

it's simple. a BUNCH of teams have been nailed for various types of "cheating" over the past 15 years. no one cares about any of it because those teams haven't really had much success. when a team like NE has success for such a long period of time, people get sick of you. it happens in any sport (see the yankees). so they look for any straw to grab that can discredit the team. simple.

jerry rice admits to cheating. no one cares cause the niners are irrelevant now. colts pumped in crowd noise. denver had controversial contracts or roster situations. browns texting from the sideline. and so on and so on. no one cares about that stuff.

NFL teams have doing shady stuff for decades,it's just breaking news when the Pats do it. Wasn't Ray Lewis caught using "deer antler spray"during that SB season? It never even got brought up when he was crying about deflategate laugh.gif. It's not just some persecution complex from us fans,it seriously feels like most of the teams in the league don't bat two eyelashes for most violations except for when the Pats are involved.
